But he does use his power and reach to influence matters that he should not.

It doesn't matter if he isn't technically breaking any laws. He needs to stop the meddling.

It's nice to see y'all don't actually know shite about the etiquette you're all supposedly so butt hurt about though.

What will make this even better is if Trump applauds the Cowboys on Twitter and holds them up as a shining example of American pride.

Trump should commend them on it if his issue was truly just respect for the flag and country.

Impressive leadership by the Cowboys to do this... Respect the anthem and flag while showing unity and respect toward a cause that many players think is important.

You may think the cause is bullshite, hell I think it is. But it's their right as Americans to voice an opinion and this was the proper respectful way to do it. Best outcome in what was a no win situation. Jerry and the Cowboys nailed it IMO and made everyone else look stupid

You better hope Trump's attention span holds for reading past the "Cowboys kneel before game" headline.

I hope so.

I want to see the response to Trump backing them.

Oh no did someone voicing his opinion to somebody else ruin your day. What they are doing is a crock of shite because it's a completely false narrative proven wrong by actual data and not feelings.

They made their protest against Trump and his voters but they did stay to respect the flag and the anthem

It's amazing. Trump took a year old protest that no one was still paying attention to and put steroids into it by making it about himself.

Your opinion makes you look like a whiny beta loser as well. That's called an opinion, and for sake of time, I'm sure I sound the same to you.

But no one is influencing anyone to do anything, they are just words. They make break your little "heart" but that's about it.

I am certain you had the same opinion when Obama said "if I had a son" and all his other meddling....

How any conservative small govt poster could support that thought is irony at its finest

Because he's voicing an opinion, not taking government action. Not hypocrisy at all. The owners can and will disregard it.

I am of the opinion the presidents opinion should not be that companies fire employees over peaceful protests...

frick it is a scary thought that our president, the president of the United States, thinks employers should be fired over peaceful protests. Frightening actually

Apparently the entire team kneeled prior to the anthem and then stood for the anthem.

Still fricking stupid.

At least they’re not disrespecting the anthem/flag/nation and everything it stands for.

But still fricking stupid.

I want to see each and every one of the “protesters” say exactly what they’re protesting and exactly what they wish to accomplish. I want them to do it on camera, no notes, no mouthpiece speaking for them, no publicist whispering in their ear. Each one that can properly articulate their stance and support that stance with facts, I will allow to kneel or do whatever they want before/after the Anthem without negative reprisals.

How many you think can do that?
