Where's your data to support 4 shootings being representative of a cultural shift?

I have no data. I posed it as a possibility. As in, is this recent spate of incidents representative of a sea change, given that all four have occurred since February 26th. Hence room for political discussion. If I'm wrong, and this is not indicative of a shift in mood, then I'm happy to be wrong. My greater point is about the potential for an explicitly political conversation, which again spurred my original (and now I realize convoluted) argument.
It is difficult for me to see a racially motivated killing as immediately non-political, regardless of who the offender or victim are.

This is not a flip answer, but that sounds like a personal problem. Seriously.

Says the facts.
Facts say more blacks kill blacks and more Islamic men commit terrorist attacks.

100%. I get the point that the OPs motivation was a type of "gotcha" thread.
My only point to all of this was that some had this fake outrage about how this wasn't political and has no place here when they are the same ones upvoting threads from the "other side of the coin" so to speak.

Why? Politics can do nothing about it.
There is a small pctg of the population who will do irrational things, and that will never change.

What political agenda did this person espouse in the context of this action?

Yet, we blast the left when they say this about Messicans and Mooslims.
Y'all ain't even trying anymore.

First I heard about it.

They should have summarily executed him.

quote:Right. All those groups you listed support killing citizens.
What is there to say about him? He's not part of some organized hate group like BLM, or Antifa, or Occupy, or SPLC, or NAACP, or Earth First, or By Any Means Necessary, or the Democrat Party, or Planned Parenthood, etc, etc. He's a single lone wolf kook.

Just remember your deference to imagination the next time you call someone out for not using facts.

...to kill black people?
Someone who murders another person should not be referred to as a gentleman.

At this point, I don't care why he did it. Ditto for why Dylan Roof did it or the "gentlemen" responsible for James Byrd's death, for example.
quote:Oh yeah, I don't care about the hate crime aspect at all.
Let's put them down like dogs and agree to disagree on the whole "hate crime" aspect of it?

I mean, this isn't a national security crisis like radical Islam, just so we're clear.

quote:Perhaps you should direct that cool-headed logic at the countless threads on here about violent illegal immigrants. The data clearly show that illegals are way less prone to criminal behavior than citizens (even in the highest-crime age demographics.)
