You haven't read the report. You are relying on what a dem congressmen says the report says. Forgive me I am not as gullible as you. I will wait for the actual report and read it rather than rely on a partisan congressman's personal interpretation

Btw....do you know the specific issues the report you "cite" reviewed? You should look into that.

NH Tiger, I am actually a fan of your work, but I have to ask you something: Did you listen/watch the link? The House Committee seems to have done a pretty exhaustive investigation that included State. But hey, "he said, she said."

It's obvious NHTiger has devoted much attention to the Benghazi matter, no doubt with a partisan objective but nevertheless to be commended because all government functions should bear the burden of citizen oversight. You can be sure, however, that his access to relevant materials is far less than Congresswoman Schakowsky's, that his own investigation is thus less exhaustive than hers, and that he understates the scope of the Committee's inquiries and conclusions.

Now, given his time I can understand his emotional investment and any disappointment this report would instate, but my sense of sympathy ends when he calls me a liar over something for which I have clear support.

Link to report ?

ETA: I do realize why you want to get out in front of this before the actual report is released. Once it can be scrutinized...your (and your dem congresswoman's) claims can be scrutinized for their voracity. That is usually where things fall apart for you....getting out in front gives you a chance to set the rhetoric. Unfortunately...you (and the dems as a whole) have done this so many times...it is now predictable...

I predict when the report does come out...you will start relying upon non-relevant minute details to avoid admitting you were wrong. Let's see what happens.

I was going to post this, But anyone who wants to know exactly wat happened with Benghazi go to Alen West's web sight and he has an investigators accounting 10 pages long, takes 20 - 30 minutes and the whole story is told.

The Obama administration was running weapons illegally to terrorist in Benghazi and Trey is going to expose the whole thing.

Hold in to your gay Horse meat Rex.

This has come up before and been dismissed. In fact, NH Tiger, who is hands down (sorry Rex), the authority on all things Benghazi has already slammed Alan West, his recycled accounts about Benghazi, including the so-called eyewitness account given to him on a 2-hour plane ride.

NH, I have to agree with Rex on this point: There are more Dems talking about Benghazi now than Repubs. Why is that? What about the other half of the House Select Committe? Dems are talking, Repubs are not? Is there any rebuttals from other side? I haven't heard of any notable subpoenas from Trey Gowdy.

I think a case could have been made for intelligence incompetence by the CIA, the State Dept. Relying on that...but a coverup? Of what? And why should anyone have to disclose their whereabouts every single moment of the day? What if after intense scrutiny it is discovered Obama was having sex with his wife that night, on their one-day a month encounter?

I don't know. I've never understood why this had to be scandalous.

So you don't want to wait for the actual report? You want to believe what the dems say it says. Got it

Look at this thread which Rex started on August 4th. I suggest anyone who missed it look through its 7 pages, if they have interest:

LINK

It's basically the very same thread he started here. Exact same message, except the Dem. source was Mike Thompson of California. Dutch Ruppersberger of Maryland and Adam Schiff of California have also gone to the media since the first week of August with the very same statements as Thompson and Schakowsky.

None of the 12 Republicans on the Committee have gone public concerning the report.

And for a very good reason.

It's not yet been released by the committee.

When it's released, you can bet the Republicans will have have assessments of their own to the media.

The sole purpose of those Dems jumping the gun and going to the media, before even they know how much of what they approved will be taken out (as classified) when it is released, is that they know they can make statements freely while awaiting the release without any Republican rebuttal.

As I said earlier, it's a standard move by a minority party to get ahead of the discussion, make general statements about the content of the upcoming report, and then dismiss the report as "old news" when it is finally released.

The Committee interviewed one person from the DOD, primarily for clarification and verification of a peripheral and routine CIA activity (no, not "gun-running"). It did not interview anyone from the State Dept. Its investigation was limited to the role, actions, and activities of the intelligence community. The issue of committee jurisdictional authority is, and always has been, a sensitive one in both houses of Congress

The committee released a report in January and did very little work since that time, other than the Morell testimony. Thus the contents of this final report will contain nothing new - as I described above, "a nothing-burger". It's a closeout report to be passed on to Gowdy's committee with all of the committees records.

When the committee does release the report, the Republicans on the committee will make their statements. There will be nothing noteworthy, and no conclusions drawn regarding non-intelligence community activities.

Don't be surprised if something like this is included in the report:

"All CIA activities in Benghazi were legal and authorized. On the record testimony establishes that the CIA was not sending weapons (including
MANPADS) from Libya to Syria, or facilitating other organizations or states that were transferring weapons from Libya to Syria."

Please note the Dems haven't said anything new at all in their "previews" either. Just vague generalizations left to linger in the warm breezes of a DC summer.

One more time - when the smoke settles, all eyes will be on the State Dept. and its activities, political decisions and maneuverings prior to 9-11-12, and the consequences of those decisions on 9-11 and 9-12.

Whether or not malfeasance is proven to a legal standard, the American people will finally have answers to a lot of their longstanding questions.

Patience ... none of us are going anywhere.

My thoughts exactly. My complaint with the Obama Administration was for the lack of planning in the most sensitive part of the world, at the most inflammatory time of the year, in a nation that was in total chaos.
