Minuteman Health of Massachusetts and New Hampshire announced it is withdrawing from the Affordable Care Act exchanges in 2018, leaving only four co-ops in operation. The co-op will stop writing business on January 1 and organize a new company, Minuteman Insurance Company, instead.

quote:

The company cited issues with Obamacare's risk-adjustment program, which is the program that shifts money away from those with healthier customers to those with sicker enrollees. Minuteman Health said that the negative impact of this program had been "substantial."

"Unfortunately, the program has not worked as intended," the company said. "It has been difficult for insurers to predict their risk-adjustment obligations, which has led some to withdraw from the ACA market."

Chime in ATL, how is this crowning achievement from the boi wonder working again?

Are y'all really hanging your hat on an abysmal failure?

So Trump is trying to fix it and not 1 Democrat will vote for it. They never cared about the people.

So when the other 4 pull out..and I'm sure they will...what's left? A version of expanded Medicaid that's paid for by the middle class?

The company is wrong. The "program" has worked exactly as planned. The plan was not to provide health care to people, but to force single-payer onto the populace.
Everyone who had any part in its enactment into law should be hung by the neck until dead or lined up and shot for treason. Their choice.

EDIT: After a fair trial, of course.

He will just straight up lie and say it's great and lowering premiums and insuring Americans by the boat load. Half of his posts lately have zero basis in reality.

The GOP has successfully sabotaged the CO-OPs by constantly cutting their promised funding. Hard for any business to keep operating in that environment.

You repeating it ad nauseam doesn't make it true. You act as if this has only been going on since Trump got elected. You are either sorely misinformed or purposefully attempting to mislead. And I'm pretty sure I know which one.

WHat funding was cut? How much in each area, and who directed these cuts?

WE'll all wait while you gather your information....

It's going to collapse on its own because the GOP will not repeal and replace.

Won't be long before the remaining companies bale.
The Dems haven't realized those businesses aren't charities and will blame DJT because he didn't do anything to fix it.

Is it possible for you to ever, just once, admit something wrong that your team did?

Can you ever admit any wrongdoing in your personal life? I bet you are miserable to date.

I'm curious - is it possible to throw enough federal funds into these failed programs to prop them up as to avoid large increased premiums and worse copays and deductibles than currently in place? If so, how much money?? I seriously would like to know so that the general public could have a good comparison to what we would get under the purported death causing policy of the new house and senate plans.

You really are stupid as shite, do you know that?
