They are putting forth effort to showcase their service, the true meaning of what it is to be an American yet continue to get shite on at every turn. Why don't they just completely stop?

It's a tough view to see the flag being held up by many fans and team personnel yet directly behind it, tons of overpaid retards are busy shitting on it.

not only that. The NFL charges them money to be acknowledged at the games.

They are scouring the young male audiences for new recruits for their massive military/ wars. Just like recruiters cruise the malls for young recruits.

Nice propaganda.

for awhile the recruiters weren't allowed to recruit in high schools. other than their commercials they pay bigly for games. I would rather see the military march with their band than Beyonce's BLM crap. but that's just me.

ETA: long gone are the days when good bands play at the superbowl w/o politics. maybe I am just old.

will a celeb sing the national anthem or kneel singing? it has gotten way out of hand.

Because the military uses it as a recruiting tool & not the mumbo jumbo the Op spewed.

Pay just like other sponsors.

Probably because they value the oaths they take, and the honor they have.

People who dont, dont. Its that simple.

This Concussion issue is a real legal albatross around the NFL's neck. This issue could very well end the NFL as we know it.

Nobody is better at legal warfare than the Left, so, if the NFL wants to curry favor with the Left, they'd better start showing it. If they don't, the Left will lead the charge against the NFL on the concussion issue.

The problem is that the blue collar lunch pail NFL fans are not yet committed Leftists, so they aren't going to be pleased by the Kneelers, who won't be quitting anytime soon.

As I see it, the NFL will have no choice but to bring the teams out of the locker room AFTER the National Anthem.

The NFL's reaction to it already did kill the game as we knew it. The new rules have basically made pass defense a penalty, hitting the QB is a gamble, targeting penalties slow games down to a crawl.

Football is not the game it was 10 years ago, and what it has become is much much less entertaining.

Consider it a self-fulfilled prophesy: one sees a vision of their own death and in doing everything they can to prevent it, end up causing it.

At some point we have to realize that CTE is real, it is dangerous, but that players assume their own risk. Players knew that they were signing up to play a game with the constant risk of violent injury, and CTE is no less damaging than broken spines, necks, and collarbones.

Players lie when they say they didn't know what they were getting into. They knew they could leave the game injured for the rest of their lives, and took the risk anyways because the money, the glory, and the game was worth it. The league will never be able to change enough to satisfy the plaintiff lawyers, but it can change enough to dissatisfy its fans and its players.

At the same time, the NFL has hastened its own demise by having an incredibly inconsistent policy regarding players and teams making political statements. In those kinds of issues, it's best to make everything ok or nothing. Picking and choosing just opens one up to criticism. With hot button political topics, simply choosing a side is always a losing decision because no matter which side, a large percentage of people are going to be offended.

The NFL's crime is not in repeatedly choosing one side, but in ever wading into choosing sides at all.

It's a recruiting strategy. They want kids who are athletic. Was a recruiter, and it's crazy how much money just goes towards advertising.
