Goodell and many of the league’s fractious 32 owners soon decided Trump’s statements were less a defense of the flag than an unprecedented assault on their business.

And this is why Trump knew he would win

They chose the almighty dollar over God and country

And now its biting them in the arse

Right thru that wallet they were trying to protect

I can guarantee you there is someone in the NFL front office whose job it is to anticipate issues and understand their market.
you're not underpaid. you could pick someone randomly out of the phone book to do a better job at public relations.

for years it has never stopped grabbing my interest how fricking unbelievably horrible the commissioner is at public relations...especially since that's his area of expertise

And the left is so quick to react they don't even give themselves an out. They box themselves into a corner thinking they have the next gotcha moment. It's brilliant.
he basically dared them to go back to being the party of frick Whitey and the dumbasses did it. And I don't mean the NFL players. You knew they were going to be morons. I mean everyone who defended them but even better piled on with. Examples of why America sucks and white people suck.

Look I don't know if Trump plans shite like this or just trips over it but if he's just tripping over it he's the luckiest fricker in the history of politics.

He just hiked the skirt a little and they acted predictably. They just can't resist massive protests to benign tweets.

No, he didn’t. But not shocking the failing liberal WSJ is taking this stance.

He said “wouldn’t it be nice if...” which now equals...”TRUMP SAID FIRE THE PROTESTORS IMMEDIATELY”

that's bullshite. the nfl has all the pull. SI, PFT, ESPN, CbsSports...they don't write shite about the NFL without approval.

they won't acknowledge the boycott because it will damage them, embolden the boycotting viewers and grow their ranks. I don't blame them. but on top of that they actively have them provide counter narrative (it's the election, it's the hurricanes, cord cutting)

regardless, trump put it out to millions and they lost their shite...they basically had to come down on a side opposite him because they're the mighty NFL...which unfortunately for them was the wrong side

now they're swimming in it needlessly. they only need bend the knee

the problem many people have regardless of their politics is that when they elevate to high positions they convince themselves of their greatness and Surround themselves with people that agree they are great.

If I were Consulting for people in such positions I would tell them that before you do anything else can you name three people who thinks substantially different than you that you trust? If they say yes I'm going to tell them to hire them. If they say no I'm going to tell them to find them

You need people in the room who you believe are smart that you know will constantly challenge your ideas. Even if you almost never change your mind in relation to the challenge you will at least always know that you are fully aware of the decision landscape.

You can't get that from smart people who think like you even if you ask them to.

Not going to be helpful if no one actually watches ESPN.

Well, let's see...how do we defend BLM and Cop killing and Kaipernic's Cops/Pigs socks, and convince patriotic Americans that Race politics is not really what we are doing? Good luck with that.

Over a hectic 24 hours, the league struggled to control the crisis, resulting in ad hoc and mixed messages at times from players and teams

From Trump referencing them once, and its not even in his job description to do it.

Imagine for a moment DJT is your opponent, and he does shite like this all the time. And all of it has an aura of truth to it. And you're an intern with a women's studies degree whose main job it is to get out ahead of social media trends and help your candidate.

Now you know why DJT won.

Yes, they have turned their protest into a patriotism test.

Just protest at some other point in the game that doesn't involve the flag and the anthem

Or a military color guard or tribute anywhere on the field.

The gold mine is the left going full anti-American and anti-white again as they defend the kneeling. They can't just say they support the right. Nope. Got to go all in.

They just can't help themselves. America sucks. White people suck. Keep it up
