The Gallup-Sharecare Well-Being Index published a new report Monday that shows that the number of U.S. adults without health insurance has grown by two million this year.

The survey found that the uninsured rate among U.S. adults was 11.7 percent compared with a record low of 10.9 percent at the end of last year. The decline in people who were insured concentrated among younger adults and people buying their own health insurance policies, according to the survey.

Sooo, that is why Republicans are going to kill 22 million, and not just 20 million people?

Well...since the IRS is gonna fine those extra 2 million for not having insurance...they should help out with the national debt a little. Right? No insurance..you get fined, right? Isn't that part of Obamacare (aka ACA)?

So people buying their own health insurance policies are not insured?

I thought it meant that self employed people that bought their own before are not buying now. I could be wrong, though, now that I read it again.

No. They are intentionally dropping their insurance.

Sounds like a well thought out plan. But then again......Trumpkins do what Trumpkins do.

Except one of POTUS Trump's earliest EO's was to suspend the enforcement by the IRS.

Or maybe, just maybe, they believe that paying excessive premiums, co-pays and deductibles does not make good economic sense for them.

If I was young and healthy and only saw a doctor a couple of times a year, I'd do the same. Hell, I did the same when I was younger.

I did have a catastrophic plan, though, that covered hospitalization only. Gee, what happened to those plans?

Oh, that's right, President Dumbass and his merry band of retards in the Democrat party shoved this thing commonly known as Obamacare down our collective throats.

Um, not really. It merely softens the stance. I know...semantics. But it didn't remove the enforcment completely.

Still doesn't make sense. They are dropping their insurance but buying insurance.

If you can't buy insurance, you can't pay the fine...I believe the fine maxed out, and the price setting by the fed will choke out more if nothing is done...

The question is, what does the IRS do if they can't recoup the money, where's the accountability end...

The fed should flush the whole thing and pass a law saying "the states" will address it in whatever fashion they wish...

States will generate winners and losers and attract citizens based on that...much like the south robbed the North of millions in the 70s/80s/90s

2 million people figured out that a 10k deducible wasn't worth paying for.

For a relatively healthy family, it's certainly not worth paying $600-$800 mo for a $10k deductible.

It means people that were previously buying their own insurance through the exchanges vs employee provided medical plans.

The statement was poorly written. But you are just being obtuse by acting like you are confused.
