The old tenure law is bad for all of public education, but especially bad for systems who hired a lot of substandard teachers because it's so tough to get rid of them after they get tenure.

I have no first hand knowledge of what Central and Zachary do as far as firing teachers, but I have heard educators here in BR talk about problems with bad teachers that bring their profession down.

And I do believe that EBR had a larger number of unqualified teachers because the Feds made them have a hiring quota. That's why I posted initially that the deseg case had a lot to do with bad teachers.
