I'm actually not all that passionate about this subject, but I do think Israel has gone way overboard. This is from Haaretz in February. Imagine how much worse it is now.

Let’s think outside the box for just a second though, and this in no way means Gaza should be given a pass. Do you really think the Palestinian people really had a choice, and the freedom to choose who they want like we do? I just think there’s more to it than “This is what they asked for.”

All the more reason for the whole World to demand that Hamas surrender and leave Gaza. Hamas wants the Jews dead and Israel as a Nation destroyed. There is no grey, it's black or white.

Israel is not committing genocide. They are fighting a war which needs to be won. The last war we fought and won was WW2. What was the condition for victory?

Looks like an opportunity for redevelopment without terrorist running the government. Maybe the money sent there would actually go to the civilians you profess to care about instead of tunnels and rockets

How does Israel profit by hurting citizens?
They don't.
It is war. Israel profits when they can live with secure borders.
If a rocket is fired from a building, a rocket will go into that building from Israel.
If a rocket is stored in a building, a rocket will go into that building from Israel.
The calculus may not be perfect. It is war. The calculus is never perfect in war. Is there a conspiracy of the US Army to kill NFL athletes (Pat Tillman)? No. War games has war casualties.
Hamas can end the war games by freeing the hostages.
Hamas can end the war games by giving up their arms. The alternative is more bunker busting by the Israeli forces.
We know Hamas is on a suicide mission. Egypt won't life a finger to support their women and children of Palestine. Neither will Jordan. Nor Lebanon.
The only people who claim dumb about Hamas honest intentions and lack of efforts to peace are the radicals within the democratic party (including the "free press").
