I guess you can choose not to believe the prophecies of the Old Testament. But if you do, there’s something of note here. Zephaniah seems to be saying that the Jews will occupy Ashdod, Ashkelon, and Gaza. They already possess two of those areas. The third is currently in the process of being occupied.

I don’t actually care very much about the Palestinians and their ultimate fate. Israel can kill all of them if that’s what they want to do.
What pisses me off is the lying about what they are doing and why, going back decades. And I don’t think the US should be involved at all, and specifically that means being their reliable veto and bully in the UN.

You wouldn’t hear me make that argument. If the Jews in Israel want to take all of their ancestral land by force and they can do it then more power to them. I think the international stakes are increasingly more dangerous though and it’s foolish for the US to blanket rubber stamp their actions.
This is going to lead to an international conflict, and we are going to be compelled into joining it whether I like it or not. And it would be nice to not lead to that.

Israel isn't asking us to. They didn't ask for the bullshite port facilities to give aid to Hamas in Gaza, we just decided that.

They may not ask for things here and there, but if they got themselves in a serious bind they would obviously ask for everything. We know that, and is why we more or less muzzle them from time to time.
So what’s the solution there? I’d be all for washing our hands of them entirely, but we all know that isn’t happening.
