So was Wisconsin.....the demographics in GA are changing. We are now seeing the liberals moving further into the burbs as well. That’s why House seats 06 and 07 are in jeopardy or have already been lost to the Dems.
It’s scary, but GA is changing.
DJT won by only 5% and we lost a seat in the House.
Romney and McCain carried by 8% and Bush won by 15% both times.
I am encouraging everyone I know to get out and vote, because we can’t just assume it’s an easy carry anymore.

This was just like the Cruz/Beto race in TX two years ago. Bunch of outside money pumped in to support the chosen one which fails and the fall out remains for a cycle then fades away

I live in Gwinnett and it’s largely Trump. I work in Cobb and I’ve seen a few Trump signs. I have seen 3 Biden signs to date. From Gwinnett to Cobb on my commute. I’ve seen countless Trump signs. But when you get deeper into the Cobb neighborhoods I have no doubt there are a bunch of Karen’s. Atlanta is lost. No question about that.

I think it was an outlier. Kemp staved her off though she refuses to admit it. Despite the fake news AJC I think most people like the work Kemp has done.

The only issue is GA keeps taking jobs from shite holes like IL and CA

I live in East Cobb and the Biden signs slightly outnumber the Trump signs. Too many Yankee transplants and people with those “In this house we believe” signs. One neighbor down the street had Trump signs in his yard, then they were gone for a while, then they were back with a “you can steal my signs but you can’t steal my vote” sign next to them. The Vietnam vet down the street got ticked off about the “loser” comments, but up several angry handwritten signs for a few days, then put up a “Republicans for Biden” sign. This election really has me worried: the rest of the state needs to get out and offset these Yankee transplant votes.

Compared to 2016, the Biden signs in yards are far far more prevalent than Clinton signs were. And I live in a very red county.

In 2016 there was one Clinton sign that I saw in my
Neighborhood. This year at least five Biden signs.

I know signs don’t translate into votes, but it’s clearly different.

Kemp wasn’t exactly the strongest candidate, and some of his hokey shotgun campaign ads left a few people less than enthusiastic.

Here’s the answer. Run someone who doesn’t sound like they were in Deliverence and the gap gets wider.

That race was a bit of a fluke. She received massive funding and support, similar to Ossoff and Harrison in SC now.

But Georgia is growing massively with people coming from NJ, NY, CA, etc. And they’re bringing the politics that led to them leaving their states and moving to Georgia.

Metro Atlanta's population may get to the point where it drives the rest of the state.

This will eventually happen, and Georgia will be another Illinois. A deep red state completely controlled by the one major city in it that is deep blue.

The growth in the Atlanta area dwarfs the growth in the rest of the state combined.

And that is bad news, politically speaking.

The only question is how long it takes the Dems to ruin it and cause an exodus to Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana like you see from California and NY.

If you can explain to me how she is (other than being fat, black and Democrat) any different than the Alabama governor, I'd be interested to learn.

They've been investing HEAVILY into Abrams for many years and she lost in a year where Dems generally picked up ground. Wouldn't read too much into it.

Atlanta (minus Buckhead) and the immediate ITP burbs were never in play.

1. Kemp was a relatively weak candidate. No Strong message coupled with odd campaign media spots made him less than the ideal candidate. That said I think he's done good work and the base supports him more now. Should cruise to a re-election.
2. Abrams had a HUGE influx of out of state money not usually seen in GA Gov. races. Will that continue? Who knows. Dem pollsters saw what outside money could do in the Ossoff race in the 6th and put on the full court press.

I think we need to “set aside” the gap tooth vs shotgun debate and focus on the out of state money being funneled into the jackoff Ossoff campaign. Someone with big money is financing a 24 year old dem in the state house race. I live in Cobb and have seen an influx of Biden signs in the last two weeks. Not a good sign.

That's Savannah, Augusta, and Athens. Add Muscogee (Columbus) and Bibb (Macon) to that list.

Basically, the cities go blue and everywhere outside them is deep red.

There are also a bunch of rural counties in central/south GA that usually go blue due to a higher % of AA population.

I'm in "downtown" Marietta and lots of Biden crap and East Cobb of course, West Cobb is hardcore Trump though.

We put up a Trump sign a couple of weeks ago, to about 8 Biden signs. We have had several people walking or driving by commenting that they love it so I'm hoping that whole silent thing is going to win out.
