"Republicans were twice as likely as Democrats to say they supported keeping statues that honor Confederate leaders. Two-thirds of whites and Latinos said these statues should not be removed. African-American respondents were split, with 44 percent saying the statues should remain in place, and another 40 percent saying they need to be removed because some people find them offensive."

Interesting that mexican voters are as much against the removals as whites

Mob rule

That would explain the legitimization of ANTIFA by some of the left. It just works for them having their own little private defacto army.

And people wonder why the Dem continues to lose everywhere that isn't a progressive stronghold. Who knew pandering to a small vocal voting group while alienating everyone else wasn't a good strategy.

If this was always such a big deal, why was it never mentioned or anything done about it during the Obama presidency.

Now all of a sudden this is a major issue

I thought it was pretty common knowledge that the statue removals, and other feel good, no substance, race unifying acts, was all about rich white people and white college college students making themselves feel better, and pretending they've made a difference, when in fact, they've done absolutely nothing. But hey, they can tell the story to other people, and post about it on social media. And in the end, isn't that what it's all about? Bolstering white people's self esteem.

Hmmm. Now that doesn't align to that false narrative that the MSM and the cowardly politicians are selling. Wonder what is up?

If these statues were such offensive monuments to slavery and racism why were they never mentioned in any speech given by Martin Luther King?
