Maybe predictions aren't his thing

quote:

That Patriots drive took another 5:07 off the clock and actually dropped their win probability from 1.1% to 0.5%:

To be fair, all he was doing was giving odds of the Pats winning. The Pats beat the 0.5% odds. Simple as that.

Ole Nate wouldn't last a week in Vegas as an oddsmaker.

The type of thread breeds ignorance. Is the OP disagreeing that when the Patriots were down by 3-4 touchdowns, they statistically had an extremely low chance of winning? I mean, it seems fairly objective that when a team is down by 28 points against a really good team, they will probably lose. Isn't that why the actual comeback was so significant?

The premise for this thread is pure stupidity and political team identify hack nonsense.

Um yeah. This really isn't up for disagreement. Just more right wing team sports.

Yeah - I am not a follower/supporter of Nate - have never followed his predictions - only know the snippets that get headlined on TD.

BUT - anyone who thought the PATs had any significant chance of victory after the 28-3 score is deluding themselves.

They were good enough to be in the position to take advantage of every bounce of the ball that happened, but anyone actually placing a bet on them to win is statistically stupid.

And I was a PATs fan from the git-go. They are my 4th favorite team.
