My sister-in-law has gone retarded again

She is one of those QAnon people that believe all that nonsense on the internet. She went real hard for Trump since 2016 and everything was about politics Fox News 24/7. After the 2020 election she kept saying Trump is coming back to office and all this and never happened. I am a Trump supporter and want him to be president but her following all these crazy people on the internet, she done lost her fricking mind.
After it didn’t happen, she said she would never put that time into politics again and she didn’t watch a lot of news for a long time. I hate to say it like this but she was being normal again. All that changed a few months ago with elections getting closer and few weeks ago when she went to the Governor’s ball he had. She met Donald Trump Jr and took a picture with him and she was so excited. I was happy for her because I knew she was a big fan of him. She called us saying I didn’t meet Donald Trump but I met the second best thing Don Jr.
Her and her husband invited us for gumbo tonight and we watched the end of the Chiefs-Bills game. She has went off the deep end saying JFK Jr is not dead and he is coming back as Trump’s vice president and governor Abbot has the military at the border getting ready to go to war with Biden and something about the new world posted on the debt clock.
I thought the last election was bad but this up coming election has made her more crazier. She must have thought I was going to agree with her on all of that but I told her she done lost her mind and she needs to stop believing everything she wants to hear from these nut jobs in the internet. Her husband is just embarrassed and laughs at her. I talked to him outside and he said he talked to her about this and all she says is hopefully all of this is true. My wife tried talking to her and my son think she is a nut job.

My mom (80 yo) is in a group like this... it's very depressing to me. It appears to be 90% women who are middle aged to old. Many are widows and it's almost like they are LARPing bc they don't have anything exciting going on.
I wouldn't mind it but she feels the need to bring this shite up often when we talk on the phone, which means I talk to her way less often than I otherwise would.
Also when I see her in person I've heard her make snarky remarks TO COMPLETE STRANGERS like "well that's not really Biden" or "HAH! Trump is still President - you'll see!" and it is the cringiest thing I've ever experienced.

I have a friend exactly like that and it is ruining his life. He is convinced of all of that same shite. Military tribunals have already been going on at Guantanamo Bay, Trumpmos president right now and has been through Bidens entire presidency. I feel sorry for him because he is so far down the rabbit hole that he can’t see it any other way

People accuse wokies of adhering to climate change as a religion—and it's a valid criticism. But the people most likely to issue it are oblivious to the fact that they adhere to populist conspiracy theories as a religion just as much.
Maybe more, actually, as there isn't a single messianic figure associated with climate change like there is the religion of populism. In Don they trust.
