Yeah, but who the hell still has a home phone? Not a hard question.

I actually didn't think Cassidy was that bad. I thought Maness reminded us a thousands fricking times he was in the military, started off bad without offering solutions and I started laughing every time he started his time with that audible exhale.

How much do the debates usually sway folks? Seems like most would have their minds made up at this point.

That and if Cassidy can get enough turnover in the Lafayette, Acadiana and NorthShore areas.

Good thing nobody watched.

I thought the entire debate setting was ridiculous. Close up camera shots with the candidates sitting at a table looked very unSenatorial. They were answering questions as if they had guns to their heads.
I prefer the 3 standing at podiums taking questions from moderators or in a town hall setting. Cassidy looked terrible, but nobody even cares to watch these things. This race is over! Mary is in the low 40's and there is simply no coming back for an incumbent below 45%.

Everything under the sun is blamed on Obama, and he bases his campaign on repealing a law which cannot and will not be repealed, rather than focusing on reasonable (and possible) solutions. He appeals to the lowest common denominator: the one-issue, uninformed, ignorant voter; and in so doing, proves himself to be simple-minded. But then, I knew that before the debate.
He's a physician, not a slick shyster attorney who is polished in deceiving the public and parsing words.

I don't think many people watch a debate on public tv and Cassidy is fortunate this is so.. I've really never seen anyone do so bad in a debate. It almost looked like an SNL parody.
I honestly don't see how anyone can watch him and be enthused. The debate didn't help Mary but it greatly helped Maness. I can see him getting in the very low double digits. Guess that's better than single digits but he'll need $$ to let the rest of the state see what we saw tonight and I don't see that happening... Which is very fortunate for Cassidy.
If Boustany or Scalise were in the race, Cassidy would finish behind Maness. If Maness could get some SuperPac $$, he'd make it a race.

Poor grammar aside, there is a difference between being aware of the level of opposition repealing a law has which is what the qualifier "will not" means and saying whether or not ObamaCare should be repealed which is what the qualifier "cannot" means. Of course a law can be repealed when the process exists for it and when you say cannot, it means you oppose it.
That's what happens when you put "will not" and "cannot" in the same sentence together. It just means you're on the majority (for now) side that supports the law.

Cassidy's entire campaign is based on a lie.
No. Its a campaign promise stating that he will try to get ObamaCare repealed and get his colleagues to support that, not that he has the full power to do it but merely just possessing a vote in favor of it.

Not sure you know the definition of a Lie!
I will help you with an example.
When Cassidy says he will get rid of obamacare it could happen if the votes are there. Surely it might not happen but he is claiming he would support it an try to appeal it.
Not a lie, it is what he would like to do and promises to try and accomplish.
Now here is what a real lie looks like. "This bill will allow you to keep your insurance if you like it".
Now not this is truly a lie because the bill had been written and if anyone had actually read it they would of known it was a lie.
Now you can google our lovely Senator Mary and watch her on video repeat this LIE, if you need a video audio aid to help you see!

Do you think it's earth shattering that someone running for the Senate would run against a very unpopular President of the Opposition Party?
He's tying Landrieu to Obama. She's a reliable Obama vote.
Exactly how does he appeal to the uniformed?
By vowing to vote to repeal Obama Care?
By claiming that student loans should be the made in the private sector, because it's not the job of the Feds or the taxpayer to subsidize them?
By talking about the need to start channelling silt back onto our coastline?
About proposing a gradual increase in the retirement age for SS?
Sounds to me as if made his arguments and used reason and facts to back them up.
Polished he isn't. But he's not a shyster.
Oh, and why can't Obama Care be repealed? Does it have some sort of immunity?
