Anybody see a problem with the image?
What the heck does MLK have to do with the study of our government? Was he ever elected to Nationwide office? Sure he influenced many things, but is he intertwined with the history of our entire government enough to make the cover of a textbook? I feel my kids are being indoctrinated every day, in every way, by a bunch of hard core leftists who are on the recruiting trail....and in an expensive, religious based school, no less. It really bothered me when I saw this on the counter this morning.

That phallic image to the right is also clearly pushing the homosexuality agenda.

The indoctrination kicks into over-drive.

Should be a picture of John Locke, Montesquieu or Thomas Paine.

Just another monument to a slave owner towering over a brave black man.

Yes..I can think of about a thousand other images more appropriate. We are not talking about those that influenced a small portion of our history for civil rights. We are talking about the United States, and the entirety of who we are, and where we came from.

Are YOU serious?

I think OP raises a valid point and don't really get all the downvotes.

MLK would be better served on an American history text

Maybe, when you have kids, and these jackasses are influencing your children's minds and futures for their own agenda, you will have something to melt over as well.... rather than how warm your fricking latte is this afternoon...or how many likes you got on your ridiculous snapchat story today. Some things in life are important.

While it may not make a lot of sense, it would have been worse with someone like Marx or soemeone from that line of thinking.
