The democratic party will pump money into Mississippi and Childers where they probably haven't before. I think Childers would had have had a better chance in November if McDaniel won. However, I do think things could get interesting. Will it be enough to beat Cochran? I doubt it, but may be close.

Not happening. Too important of a race next door in Louisiana to waste in Mississippi.

Oh...I'm sorry. I accepted your description of the man as you described him. I did not realize that I was supposed to not take you at your word.

I agree. Better to hold what you got than buy what you likely cannot afford.

Don't take me at my word...look at the legislation that he has sponsored and championed in the MS legislature that has changed MS for the better.

Hint: You will be looking a while because there isn't much there.

Brett Favre is going to stand in for him.

But seriously, no.

A debate would be funny because they would agree with each other on so much.

Thank goodness the majority of people voting saw this.

I guess when you combine Dems and less than half of the Republican party... maybe that is a majority.

But Thad lost to McDaniel on June 3rd. Thad was 2nd place.

He will not.

Childers will win. 50.8% of the vote.

Harper should go ahead and step up, since it'll be his seat in 2 years. He and Childers have a history, don't they?

Does Mississippi have a sore loser law? If so, I would love to see McDaniel make an independent run and cause as much chaos as possible.

Screw the RINO establishment.

Well, I looked it up. Too late for anyone to run as an Independent. But hopefully McDaniel will still cause a dumpster fire.

I think Thad survives a close one. Some Tea Partiers will take their ball and go home and a handful will vote for Childers but I don't see it being quite enough to flip the seat.

I would get a huge chuckle if the D's smell blood in the water and take Thad down by flooding the race with money. Then Thad can whine about outside money buying the election. The irony would be delicious.

If anyone writes him in, the vote will not be counted. Unless Cochran dies or withdraws between now and Election Day.

Who do the Dems have a better shot at?

Keeping Mary in LA or Taking out Thad in MS?

As November draws closer, it'll be interesting to see where the money goes.

Keeping Mary. She can grab some normally red areas in Acadiana and the NOLA suburbs (it's how she did it the last three times.) She also just landed a big contract for Bollinger shipyards. Plus the Louisiana GOP makes the nationals look competent. They WILL find a way to screw it up.

A lot of the disgruntled McD supporters will fall in line in November if it looks like a vote for Childers is going to be a vote for Harry Reid.

What happens to independent voters in Ms? Are they allowed to vote in any primary? I was just wondering. Seems like true independents get the shaft if they could not vote in either D or R primary.

I know you are trying really hard to make this stick but after 6 times it still is not witty, it is becoming more tiresome though.

Do you think there might be a reason the Dems would rather face Thad than Chris in November? Do you believe they did this favor for the republicans out of the goodness of their heart?
Be prepared for an all out war for this seat and remember the Dems got to choose their opponent.
