That was my thought. In the closet and a one night fling was outing him.

In college I went to a gay bar at the insistence of my gay dorm roommate. Suuuuuure. If you say so.

The worst thing was that my roommate told my friend Scott (who I didn't know was gay) to show up to make fun of Zach. He walked up to me and said "So, Zach, what are you doing here?"
Me: "The question is..what are YOU doing here?"
Scott: "I'm a regular."
I couldn't think of a retort. He got me.

I've never known of/witnessed gay guys harassing straight guys sexually.

That's my bet, tbh. Again, saw a lot of these as a duty operations officer on a ship (pretty much the first line reports officer responsible for dealing with all the incidents that happen in the barracks/out in town when your duty section is on duty). In 9/10 there was an element of "gay panic" in what we called our blue-on-blue incidents.

Why the frick is the school involved either way? Calling a student a "f****t" or "n****r" isn't illegal. It also isn't illegal for a gay dude to stare down a straight dude and call him beautiful. Creepy yes, illegal no.

Things were simpler when if someone offended you, you just punched them in the mouth and went about your business.

Days after discovering that a finding of responsibility could prevent him from getting in to grad school, Klocke committed suicide.

Seems like one would at least wait and see if it WOULD (vice could) affect him.

One would seriously hope that some dude didn't kill himself simply because a homo hit on him and then some SJWs said he was a bad person and threatened him.

Having seen a number of similar situation in the Navy (especially during DADT, and thankfully none ended in suicide) I'm going to go out on a limb and say there's more to the story. Nobody's committing suicide over a harassment lawsuit. Dollars to doughnuts these guys have a bit more history than a random gay guy hitting on a random straight guy and everything blowing up out of nowhere.

I'm guessing the kid thought "what the hell?" and let the fig blow him, then killed himself when he realized he enjoyed it, and I worked two cases that were EXACTLY that when I was in the Army.

That aint no shite. Gay staring at you and or asks you out, if that offends you , get the frick over it, it's not creepier than a guy asking a girl who isn't interested in him out. It happens. Gay can't take a hint? Don't run to the school, knock his gay dick in the dirt.

I wasn't trying to say that's what happened. But I was kind of trying to imply that's what happened.

I found TD when the first round of rumors about Texas A&M coming to the SEC were going around.

UT-Arlington doesn't have a football team (we disbanded our team in 1985) so I would be a t-shirt fan of ANY team. My former real estate agent (RIP) was from Louisiana and a big LSU fan.

First of all, anyone who has ever dealt with the suicide of a loved one understands that 1 thing is never the reason for the suicide. Suicide is never a rash rush to judgement decision that one thing could trigger, its a result of many things and the in ability of the victim to mentally cope with them.

It's sad in this country that we kid ourselves that we understand what mental disorders are and how they effect people. It's sad that in the US we still kid ourselves when events like this happen as say he/she was always so happy, and we never would have dreamed that they would do this. It's the defense mechanism of the survivors who are left feeling guilty that they didn't take the situation more serious or wrongfully thinking that they should have or could have done something to stop it.

It's outrageous that this guy lost his title 9 case, but it's totally stupid of him to have killed himself. This was not an insurmountable problem he would never be able get out from under.

The obvious retort would've been, "What a coincidence, I'm irregular too!"

But I'm sorry to hear that even the gays don't find you attractive, Zach. Better luck in your next life.

Gays are histrionic people. Overboard and obnoxious. This doesn't surprise me at all.

While I am not a fan of what Title IX has become, this sounds not like a Title IX issue but a University of Texas issue, who handled it terribly by denying Klocke his due process rights.

This might seem a little sensitive, but it's UT-Arlington, not UT-Austin.

That would be similar to criticizing the Tuscaloosa campus for something that happened at the Huntsville campus.

Not that it wouldn't happen in Austin, too...
