The 2018 US Senate election (which old arse Feinstein won again) ended up a Democrat vs. Democrat runoff.
That alone should tell you about California. There are very conservative pockets and counties, but the urban areas with the exception of some GOPism in San Diego vote almost strictly D. No matter the candidate.

The 2020 tactics used in Arizona, Georgia, etc. have been used for three decades in California. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump won California, but, as someone said earlier, show me.

I don't have my finger on CA's political pulse. However, the fact that Prop 16 failed miserably in a year when BLM sympathizers were abundant and had the backing of a liberal who's who ought not to be dismissed.
These are results on par with a conservative state.
