Bill Clinton was never what you would call a leftist.

Ah yes he was. Do you even remember his health care plan? Or retro-active tax increases? Or his stimulus plan?

Clinton was, and is, a leftist, but he was also a pragmatic politician who saw the writing on the wall with the 1994 midterms.

If Rs had not absolutely smoked Ds i. The midterms, Clinton would have been just as bad as Obama.

It sure didn't from 2009-2016. Emperor Barack pretty much did what he wanted even without Congress.

With a (correction) [majority in both houses], you can pretty much do anything you want. Obama and the left were so dilusional that they thought he would have a [majority in both houses] for eight years, so they only pushed one agenda (ObamaCare) during the one Congress where they did have a supermajority.

Then, as Biden is doing today, they are relying on Executive Orders, which, the courts told us Trump could not override (for the first time ever).

It's a screwy system, and the GOP looking more disfunctional by getting rid of Johnson is not going to help fix that system.

So few GOP's make so few Trumpers happy
How do you get to a super majority when so few are good enough.....for the few of you.

Why, suddenly, is he bringing Ukraine aid as a standalone bill to the floor of the House?
You want him to bring it attached to something else? You anti-GOP people are something else. And don't claim not to be anti-GOP, because ousting of Johnson at this junction and given the razor thin margin, is political suicide.

I don’t give a damn about your concerns with him.

He’s from Louisiana and is speaker of the house

I live in Louisiana.

Louisiana wins

Mad if he lets them bundle aid with something else for cover, mad of he brings it to the floor as a standalone.

Not a single person is responsible for Johnson. Mike Johnson is responsible for Mike Johnson.

Our job is to make our voices heard and demand our congressional members remove him.

If he loses and/or November is a Republican massacre down-ballot, there's a decent chance that Trump and his entire family, for that matter, get purged from the party. He'd be a 2-time General Election loser and his DIL, who is basically running the RNC, will have overseen a blue wave. You'd have to be stupid to still embrace him if that happens

If that happens, then stick a fork in it.

People won’t go back to voting for “traditional DC Pubs” again mainly because those Bush-McCain-Romney type Pubs possess no credibility anymore with a sizeable portion of the GOP base.

Even if Trump is “gone”, people aren’t going to suddenly develop amnesia to the GOP ineptitude and go-along/get-along mode of operation (that made Trump an attractive alternative to begin with).

We might as well settle in for permanent Dem control, or for the sake of keeping up appearances once in awhile , the occasional GOP UniParty type who has fundamental Dem approval behind the scenes.

A supermajority is veto-proof. Try again.

Correct...wrong terminology. With his party having a majority in both houses...
