An old saying was tossed around plenty before the recent presidential election, and perhaps even more so after it: If you don’t vote, you can’t complain.
But that didn’t stop one prominent NFL player from doing just that — protesting the results of Donald Trump becoming the president-elect — despite indicating that he did not vote in the election. According to a report from the Tampa Bay Times, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans opted not to vote as well, despite protesting Trump prior to Sunday’s game.
Idiot

He's an Aggy so I'm guessing he is scared of Pence's upcoming Gay re-education camps.

I have yet to read some fine print that makes voting a condition of the 1st Amendment on Free Speech.
It's that kind of thinking that is the basis of arguing limits on the 2nd and other amendments actually.

no one is questioning his right to free speech. Just wondering if maybe voting in a swing state would have been a little more productive for him

This is the same guy that said in an interview after the Bama-TAMU game when asked about their offensive plan, said "Johnny throw. I catch."
He's not the brightest bulb on the string of lights.

cancelled NFL Sunday Ticket today. the Directv agent was like, may I ask why you are cancelling? I told him for the same reason everyone calling them is cancelling.
He said, yeah (heavy sigh) that's what I thought.

1st amendment only protects your speech from the government. Doesn't protect you from criticism or anything else for that matter. His employer, the NFL, needs to look at these goofballs when asking themselves why ratings are taking an unforseen nose dive. It's not the on field quality, it's the extra bullshite that's going on that is hurting them.
