Merck CEO Kenneth Frazier quit President Trump's manufacturing council on Monday after Trump failed to condemn white supremacists.

"America's leaders must honor our fundamental values by clearly rejecting expressions of hatred, bigotry and group supremacy," Frazier said in a statement posted on Twitter by the company.

Trump immediately responded on Twitter with an attack on Frazier, saying his resignation will give him "more time to LOWER RIPOFF DRUG PRICES!"
The president cited violence "on many sides" after neo-Nazis and white nationalists clashed with counter-protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, over the weekend.

Frazier is one of the country's most prominent black corporate executives and was the only black male CEO named to the council in January.

So... The optics of this look TERRIBLE. Can we all at least admit that?

He can tweet a Black CEO for denouncing him, but he has even yet to Say or Tweet the words, KKK, white supremacist or Neo-Nazis? Sad!

I'm sure you were equally upset when Obama didn't tweet negatively about Ferguson.

Hell, you were probably writhing in anger when Obama refused to use the word "terrorism" and failed to condemn the San Bernadino and Orlando shooters as terrorists.

Either that, or your virtue is about as rigid as a bed sheet.

Your defense is pathetic.

So... by this logic shouldn't he tweet at Nazis and KKK at least once until they stop being terrible?

But of course, logic isn't your MO apparently.

i'm not defending trump. i didn't vote for him. he's a goober.

media keeps lying. you probably wish he were like Bush, Romney, or McCain that just took it lying down.

he does not need to keep saying, "i'm not associated with a group i never claimed to be associated with."

Agreed.

However, he needs to denounce them specifically after a terror attack they just executed.

It doesn't matter what Donald Trump would say, he could jump up-and-down and turn cartwheels while denouncing white supremacy and it still wouldn't be enough.
