Salmon, that is your party. Bitch all you want about Trump, but those people are what is bringing our nation down.

The identity politics of the left has to stop. All you left leaning people can help by not supporting your current Democratic party.

I am being serious with this and those on the right need to be prepared to do the same with the crazy religious right if they start taking over too much of the party.

That's really it.

Traditional Democratic voters have to accept that their party has been hijacked.

For all they told me the last 30 years that I should worry about the "religious right", the bat shite left makes the religious right look like a Disney ride.

And, on the right, I basically have to worry really only about the subset of Pat Robertson types.

LOL. Those frickers are GREATLY outnumbered by the bat shite intellegencia.

You know what else? I've lived in Bible belt type areas for a great deal of my adult life. As an atheist.

No one has ever threatened my job because I didn't bow my head or participate in prayer.

No one has ever given me "mandatory training" on how to not offend a Pat Robertson type.

No one has ever told me that my intent didn't matter, if a religious person was offended, then I had "harassed" them.

These are things that have NEVER happened in my life.

Now, things that have.

More "how to not offend" some flavor of liberal classes than I can count.

Being taught a definition of sexual harassment that basically included things that probably half of all marriages got started on.

Enduring en EO complaint for telling a fart joke that a dude interpreted as a revised black joke.(I shite you not....pun intended).

Having a friend endure a rape charge that was demonstrably false for 120 days by a female Soldier. The story was factually impossible from the word go. But, this single father of two girls couldn't attend their soccer games for most of a season. When she finally admitted she lied, she was reassigned. No punishment because, and I quote, "we don't want to discourage other women from coming forward".

I could go on.......a lot.

The religious right is no thread to me.

The bat shite left is an existential threat. It's not close.

OH OH. I forgot to add. Being taught that if a woman and a man are both drunk and they frick, that it's sexual assault........on the man's part.

What do actual adult transgenders think of this? I know some transgenders say they never felt comfortable with their birth gender, but at what age should they start converting?

There is no way you're going to tell me that a 6 year-old is ready for this.

Thanks for sharing. Nuts come in all kinds of flavors, but there's something about leftist ideology that encourages people to be overly sensitive and willing to destroy everyone and everything they don't agree with in order to make themselves feel better. It's a destructive ideology.

ETA: It's like the Sith vs. the Jedi. The left use their emotions as a source of power and try to destroy everyone that doesn't agree with them or bend the knee.

I do follow this one transgendered person on YouTube named Blaire White. She's a men's right activist libertarian transsexual who I think is really going to go through the roof once she graduates college. Blaire is utterly disgusted by this and thinks it should be illegal to have hormones under the age of 18. Blaire also admits being transgendered is a mental disorder.

Unfortunately Blaire is a rare exception and most trannies cheer for shite like this. The tranny community all hate her and call her an Uncle Tom.

Have an upvote.

I am not opposed to Trans acceptance, but I do not agree with the parents in this instance. I would be lying if I said I understood Trans, and hopefully my boys don't identify that way. Not because I hate trans, but because I think of myself as the guide for their lives and I would literally have no idea how to help them with most problems they encounter.

I would counter your point above that being an atheist is your choice while a Transgender is, allegedly, born that way. Additionally, it is your constitutionally protected right to choose what religion you desire, even if that religion is none.

(I had no idea we went to the same church. I'll bring a decent casserole to the next potluck dinner.)

Instead, suicide rates will remain high and the blame will be placed on society for still being too "transphobic" regardless of how accepted it becomes
I think, and this is more of a general statement, that today when we talk about blame or right/wrong, it's always an all or nothing thing. But in reality, these things have nuance and there are lots of moving parts. Regardless of how you feel about a transgender person, I don't think anyone would logically argue that they aren't openly ridiculed, made fun of, the works. So I don't think it's unfair to say at least some portion of that "blame" you mentioned does fall on society and how they treat these people. Again, that's mutually exclusive to your or anyone's thoughts on them, as a whole.

For me, it kinda speaks to a larger issue in today's world, and that's just worrying about shite that either has nothing to do with you directly or just your day to day life. Take this very specific example, 1st, I can't change it, 2nd it doesn't affect me directly, 3rd it doesn't even affect me indirectly. So, the end result, I'm not wasting any of my time being worried about it. Yea, it really sucks for that kid that the parents are being so proactive about this and not just letting the kid be a kid and letting it play out as it will, but there's a whole hell of a lot of things that parents do that I can't change, so frick it, they'll just do their own thing, and I'll not concern myself with it.

Man, I'm 100% fine with accepting trans.

I actually have a former 1SG from my Army time that is now teaching in college...........as a woman. Did the full fricking change! I've no issue with what someone does as an adult.

And, I would appreciate it if these assholes returned the favor. Me not using the language YOU want to force upon me shouldn't cost me my job or livelihood.

Me not wanting someone who still has their Johnson showering with my 12 year old should not cost me my job or my livelihood. I'm not bigoted because I disagree with that shite.

I've worked with trans. I've worked with MANY gays, both superiors and subordinates. I've gotten gays promoted because they were awesome workers. The same applies to pretty much every sub group you can name.

THAT is what professionalism is.

Professionalism is NOT beating people over the head and demanding they parrot your world view.
