This is why his statement on saturday was so good, it keeps russia off the headlines for a few days. And there were big stories that dropped recently. Priebus being interviewed by Mueller is big news. They are closing in.

Would you feel better if Mueller announced no connection between trump campaign ans Russian election interference, or do you actually want it to be true that there was collusion?

We had these same threads a couple weeks ago after Priebus was let go and that became the big story. Then Mueller's Grand Jury was announced, and it was back to the forefront.
