I know that as a conservative, this might be viewed as not following the playbook, but I don't see the issue in wearing the head scarf.
I did a photo shoot at an Indian temple recently and I knew their custom was to remove your shoes inside the building, so I did.
Whenever I'm in a ballpark and the announcer says to remove your hat during the playing of the National Anthem, I do.
I've been in churches wear the women are encouraged to wear dresses and I asked my wife to comply.
To me, it's just common courtesy to someone else's culture or beliefs and not a sign of weakness or even a sign that you actually agree with their traditions.

We are above making our women wear head scarves

I don't understand the need to keep talking about the scarf. Many dignitaries have visited Saudi and not worn one. What is the big deal?

I believe I read the Saudi recommendation was no head cover. There may be some internal politics at work there. And there was also the tacit knowledge the most stylish FLOTUS since Jackie Kennedy was coming to visit.

It's not a bid deal. I was simply stating that observing someone else's cultural or religious traditions out of respect is neither a sign of weakness or even approval.

Actually, the custom of a woman covering her head crosses religious lines and is also mentioned in the Bible multiple times.

And from the Bible it is settled as....

But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

I don't either tbh. I would be respectful of their culture and I expect them to be respectful of ours.

Not the same. One is about subjugating women. The other is about being respectful and not fricking up the carpet.

Some do. In the Catholic Church they are called Mantillas, and mostly worn by very traditional women.

Valid points, but I do think the "woman" issue allows this statement by an outsider.

Has someone made an issue over it?
