He quit being an American soldier when he gave up his uniform, his rifle, his equipment -- and sent his "belongings" back to his parents -- and DESERTED by going to join the ENEMY.
Don't get me wrong -- given all of your posts on this board, it's patently clear that someone of your demented ilk would think of a deserter and traitor as being a HERO. Similar to why Obama is one of your heroes.

6 people have come out and spoken to the fact that he left and deserted them. He has emails and letters filled with his writings that are not helping his case against being a deserter and a traitor.

Multiple people were lost in the efforts to find him, they aren't coming back thanks to searching for this guy and he should get benefit of the doubt.

I think you are misunderstanding why he is welcoming the man's punishment. It has more to do with the fact that he served and can feel what these other guys are feeling having someone they considered a brother in arms just up and leave them to go be with the enemy.

Let's make one thing clear. Rex doesn't give a royal f*ck about this deserter. It has nothing to do with "humanity" or "kindness" or "giving him the benefit of the doubt". Just look at how Rex talks about anyone with an "R" behind his/her name.
The ONLY reason Rex is supporting this DESERTER and TRAITOR is that his Messiah F*CKED UP and traded five MURDERERS/TERRORIST for him. That makes Rex's Messiah look like the incompetent loser that he has always been. It will also mean that his Messiah will have blood on his hands when these MURDERERS kill again -- for nothing as we should never have turned them over for a deserting TRAITOR.
It's the same reason why Rex refuses to admit -- even til today -- that Billy Jeff Clinton is a perjurer. He can't answer why Bill Clinton can't practice law. He knows full well that the only reason the Special Prosecutor didn't bring criminal charges against Billy Jeff is because Bush threatened a pardon if the SP went forward. But, he'll still swear til today that Clinton isn't a perjurer because he was never convicted.
