This is a good point. I dont know how constitutionally the two coexist but I guess it is what it is.
To compare the two recent leaks. The Comey memo source is leading them to the evidence, whereas the Russian Diplomat source made an accusation, and specifically based on a first hand account.

They're playing into the narrative of fake news by not vetting their source. It's like the entire mainstream media turned into Dan Rather and Brian Williams.
