Yet again.... purposefully lying.
The sad part is this isn't the first time the socialist media has tried THIS story. In Feb, they did it with the PM of Japan and Trump.
Yet again.... purposefully lying.
quote:
Sam Stein of fake news HuffPo tweeted out, ‘Trump obviously speaks fluent Italian so there is no need for headphones for translation’:
UK’s The Mirror ran a story titled “Donald Trump ‘caught pretending to listen’ at G7 summit – after crucial mistake ‘gives him away’”
Andrea Catherwood of BBC repeated the story...
Shane Goldmacher ? @ShaneGoldmacher
Yet another memorable moment for Trump abroad
Landale’s original, incorrect tweet amassed more than 10,000 retweets, but his correction tweet received just 42...

Irresponsible. They live by the motto "it's better to ask for forgiveness than for permission". More specifically, they would rather make a tiny "oops!" post or retraction and move right along than take the time to get the facts right the first time. The damage is already done.

I think this is intentional. As the artile points out... 10K retweets vs 42 retweets of the retraction.

Didn't know someone's twitter qualified as the media

Why even bother giving them attention

As one commentator said:
It's beyond politics or news bias.
News has always been dictated by global corporations.
Look at Hearst. "You furnish the pictures, I'll furnish the war."
They work for major corporations and are getting paid to shill for said agenda.

Almost as bad as a tabloid magazine saying that your dad used to hang with Lee Harvey Oswald. I mean saying you weren't listening to the Italian PM is just. As. Bad.

When it's a "Journalist" it does.

"The media"
one tweet by one person.

Does it matter if he was listening? Who cares

10,000 other journalists?
You make it sound like every journalist in the world had a board meeting and decided on this tweet.

Like I've said on here before, all the media has to do is make something up and say it. The lie quickly grows legs, gets spread around on social media, and the lie becomes "truth." The media then can come along and say, "Opps, my bad," but it is too late by that point.

If you just assume the opposite of what the MSM says, you will be right 98% of the time.

I think you guys are a bunch of paranoid folks. I do not believe this mistake was intentional.
If I go to a bar and the bartender drops a glass and it breaks, I shrug my shoulders and say, stuff happens.
If I go to watch a football game and a player drops a pass, I may let out a curse but a few seconds later say, stuff happens.
If I go to a concert and a singer hits a wrong not, I shrug my shoulders and say, stuff happens.
If my son takes an exam in school and get most questions right but two wrong, I shrug my shoulders and say, stuff happens.
But if a newspaper writer makes a mistake OH MY GOD ITS ALL PART OF A BIG PLANNED PLOT!!! OH NOOOO!!!!
You guys need to relax a bit about the newspapers.

See, your argument would make sense if the media didn't make these "Mistakes", every day.

College football players drop passes every Saturday.
You want some kind of perfection from these people and that will never happen. Doesn't mean there is some plot going on.

No, not perfection, we want restraint and journalistic integrity. We want both sides of every story and complete context in every single issue, video segment, and report. We want all sides and viewpoints to be equally represented and explained objectively. It's their job. And they fail miserably at it.
Any hack with a keyboard can write drivel supporting their personal beliefs. Journalists are supposed to report on the issues, not dictate what the issues are, and certainly not introduce their own personal opinions into the matter. Personal opinions of celebrities and news anchors/reporters ARE NOT news.
But no, we have a generation of Twitter idiots writing articles now, who think it's more important to get to 10k retweets quickly than it is to submit an honest and well researched story
