If you believe the Fed the winter did have a hampering effect on first quarter growth. We'll see after the second quarter numbers roll in if this was just a blip in part because if an unusually cold winter or an actual trend of renewed slowing.

Per Goldman:
quote:

This morning's construction spending numbers were weaker than those assumed by the Commerce Department in yesterday's initial estimate of Q1 GDP growth. We reduced our past-quarter tracking estimate by two-tenths to -0.1%.

We'll be lucky if this is all it is after the revision.

This is quite an accomplishment for them. Seems like they would be here to brag about this.

Guys? Where are you?

To be fair, the resident libs don't understand basic math, otherwise they would realize that their good intentioned policies are mathmatecally impossible.

This, and they are probably busy figuring out if they are going to get owned again on AGW talking points that are being distributed as we speak.

And for the record... I'm not happy about this. I'm not here to gloat about it. It sucks that our GDP is at the recession level.

I don't care what side of the fence you sit on, this should concern you. If it doesn't, you're lying.
