He said he's been treated worse than any politician by the media. And that's a true statement. McCain being a republican was treated very sh*tty also, but this is on another level.

McCain should have just told him to stop whining. But I like the POW dig (however out of context) given Trump's earlier comments on that issue.
Maybe McCain could have worked in something like "I don't like the presidents who get mistreated. I like the ones who are able to charm and outfox the media like Reagan."

His intent was clear.
The caveat under his comment (re: his capture) in the article underscores that.
