Only dumb mouth breathers think that the house not conducting business on the floor ultimately prevents ANY government action. Every single thing they haven’t been doing is about to be done now.

I’m happy with Johnson ultimately, but the notion that shutting the House down somehow saves money or prevents government bullshite is just……stupid.

He needs to stop with the lawyer speak and straddling the fence on every issue. That’s what Dems do to appease their dumbed down voters.

Gaetz did what everyone has been begging someone to do, then got shite on for having "no plan." He completely exposed the uniparty rats in the GOP and brought in the most conservative speaker ever, all while teaching the country basic civics lessons.

Gaetz is the kind of Republicans we need to send to Washington.

The first step in renovating a house is demo.

It’s not always fun.

It’s not always clean.

But you’ll never end up with a better house until you remove what’s broken.

There are a bunch of pussy arse bitches on this board that were so worried about optics and what the Democrats think. Rino McCarthy was removed from power and they thought the swamp would just roll over? This process should be messy and time-consuming. In the end, the swamp played themselves. Have a fricking spine. It ain't a fight if it is over as soon as it started.

The funny part of all of this, especially for the arse hurt SFP/Powerman crowd, is that Gaetz successfully used democrats to get rid of a RINO so the party could replace him with a MAGA guy. You think those dems want their vote on McCarthy back? LOL

I am glad Gaetz stood up. This whole process has drawn quite a few swamp creatures to light. Graves showed his true colors, Mike Rogers and all those who voted against Jim Jordan should be expecting a primary fight

Probably thinking of a good alter name. FYI I just wanted to point out that Gaetz has destroyed the two biggest GOPe posters on this site .... HHTM (muh imminent) and now SFP has his moment.

And he used Democrats to accomplish it. He outed the fox in the henhouse as well, all under immense scrutiny. It is truly remarkable what he just did.

Gaetz has conducted a master class in representative democracy and checks and balances. Speakers are not meant to be dictators, but should bring the caucus together. If they are not doing that, they need to be ousted.

Well put. What a day. I’ll take any glimmer of hope at this point!

I was one of the people giving Gaetz shite for dumping the speaker without a replacement. I still think he got lucky, but it seems to have worked.

If Johnson is a good speaker it will be more than worth it. I will have been 100% wrong. If the Gaetz wing of the party turns on Johnson before the mid terms, I will have lost all faith in that group of folks. We will see, I'm pulling for Johnson (not pulling, pulling for).
