You dont know that he wasn't politically or religiously motivated anymore than I know he was. No one knows his motivations at this point. We are all speculating because we know virtually nothing about him, which in this day and age is unusual. There's no social media we can look to give us a peak into his mind.

For whatever reason I think that this might all come down to Duartes kill the drug dealers policy. One of her family members may have been killed because of it. (which would explain the money sent) He/they might blame the U.S. for allowing it to happen.

Of those weapons, 12 had devices known as bump stocks attached that allowed semi-automatic rifles to mimic fully automatic gunfire. The agent, Jill Snyder, said officials had determined the devices were legal. The weapons – rifles shotguns pistols – were purchased in Nevada, Utah, California and Texas, she said.
The sheriff’s office also released police body camera footage of officers responding during the shooting. The rapid gunfire bursts can be heard as officers shelter beside a wall and yell at civilians to “get back”. One video shows officers beside a patrol car when one is shot.
The first report to police came at 10.08pm and Paddock continued to fire for “somewhere between nine and 11 minutes”, officials said.
Police also confirmed on Tuesday that Paddock had set up cameras inside and outside his room, including two in the hallway and one in the peephole of his hotel room door.
“I anticipate he was looking for anybody coming to take him into custody,” Lombardo said at an afternoon press conference.
The evidence offers an insight into Paddock’s careful planning of the shooting. Lombardo said: “I’m pretty sure he evaluated everything that he did in his actions, which is troubling.”
Paddock’s motive remains unknown. “This person may have been radicalised, unbeknownst to us, and we want to identify that source.”

You dont know that he wasn't politically or religiously motivated anymore than I know he was. No one knows his motivations at this point. We are all speculating because we know virtually nothing about him, which in this day and age is unusual. There's no social media we can look to give us a peak into his mind.

He left out this pretty important piece of the quote he picked out. That came straight from the mouth of someone in the investigation too, up vote.

a poster on /pol who claimed to be Anon within the LVPD posted about half an hour before that press briefing that the Dept knows what went down and that the Sheriff would leave "breadcrumbs" for the media/public to start asking questions (this led to /pol concluding the poster was not larping because he did). That the FBI had basically shut them down from making any statements of motive and what all led up to this.
He went on to post something about a sting operation that had been going on in Vegas for last couple of years. I'm paraphrasing what he posted but it was something about weapons sales to members of ISIS been going on in Vegas for last couple of years (reason Paddock had a shite ton of guns) LVPD knew of the FBI monitoring/tracking it to lead them to ISIS cells here and their activity within the Philippines.

It would explain Stephen's weealth a little better. As well as, the initial comments that Paddock was known to local law officials. FBI may want to be keeping this quiet for now to not allow ISIS to boast?

Ok, then he misspoke as well. You can't "know" something "as of now". Either it is known to be true or it isn't. One could say "as of now there are no indications..." or something similar and avoid confusion entirely.

Maybe that was his brothers words. FBI special agent said paddock had "no connection with an international terrorist group." My point was not to jump to conclusions because there’s nothing to jump to yet. Weird weird case. I dunno where it’s going.

With all the cameras in a big casino, there has to be video of him or someone bringing in the arsenal. How did this happen without raising suspicion? In today's world of cameras everywhere, where are the casino videos? This guy didn't just snap. He planned and set up this attack well advanced. He set up cameras in the hallway? He was able to do all this without being monitored? Room service cleaned his room and never noticed anything? He had an agenda and he carefully chose his target and planned this attack. He was a millionaire. There is more to this than some random guy going off the deep end.
