On Fox Biz this morning...Maria just had on Nancy Mace (R-SC) and Maria was all in for Kevin McCarthy and the status quo.

Maria asked where Mace is on Johnson and she let's us know that MTG's motion to vacate was not privileged so she can't just call a vote on it at her discretion. This is news to me and is a bad move for MTG if she didn't insure it was a privileged motion.

Anyway...Mace goes on to call McCarthy 'disgraced former speaker' and Maria throws a fit to say he is a good guy and says Republicans should start sticking together. Mace says, "We should stick together". Mace burns McCarthy down and tells Maria that he lied over and over, Maria tried to cut her off, Mace kept going, she said that McCarthy was propping up candidates against people like Mace in purple districts, people that had no shot in the general, in a purple district - meaning McCarthy was acting to throw seats blue.

Maria was checking her notes, probably listening to her ear piece for some instructions. Mace kept going. Maria finally interrupted and asked how Mace would vote on Ukraine money. She said there would be a vote but was noncommittal on her stance.

The whole interview went sideways when McCarthy's name was mentioned. Mace had the high ground here.

So, Fox Biz is carrying the water for Kevin McCarthy, who was known as 'Pelosi Light'.

McCarthy promised the J6 video. That was a lie. He worked to throw seats, working against Republicans.
McCarthy sought more censorship by Big Tech of people from his own party. He was considered the 'go to' guy among Republicans for Big Tech.

Frederic Barnes is a lobbyist at TikTok who worked for McCarthy. George Caram…senior legislative assistant now represents Apple. Brian Worth, former director of coalitions for McCarthy, lobbies for Amazon and Wing... Jeff Miller, a political adviser to McCarthy, also represents Apple and Amazon.

When McCarthy was elected Speaker, one of the first people lurking after was Miller.

In a piece about McCarthy in Politico, there was this: When POLITICO asked Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.), the Republican leading that bipartisan antitrust push, about his thoughts on McCarthy’s anti-Big Tech rhetoric, Buck replied with a question of his own: “He’s anti-Big Tech?”

asked in the press about these tapes,
and I said they do belong to the
American public. I think sunshine lets
everybody make their own judgment.”

People want Republicans to stick together but then got angry when they ejected a guy that was actively pushing a Dem agenda and campaigning to sabotage Republicans. Now the same people are throwing fits when yet another Republican Speaker does the work of Democrats. And now, not only is Fox totally onboard with the uni-party, but Fox Biz is the same.

Republicans will never 'stick together'. They are led by people like McCarthy and McConnell and Graham who actively sabotage the party.

If you insist on voting for Republicans, this is what you're going to get. Republican leadership = Democrat leadership.

What DC fears the most is people on the right getting fed up, people on the left getting fed up, and meeting in the middle. Maybe we all ought to meet in the middle.
