Well that certainly seems like some robust methodology

But but but but muh Crusades, muh Inquisition

Don't bring in the reality of history into this. The Crusades were EVIL and we deserve what the poor Muslims are doing to the west.

And what they don't tell you is the Crusades were a RESPONSE to the invasion. They got tired of it and decided to go on offense.

You have no fricking idea whatsoever what the methodology is.
WTF was Charles Martel doing having to beat that Muslim arse in the middle of France all the way back around 800?
Posted on 5/22/17 at 7:20 pm to weagle99
Yeah our former muslim president left out those facts.

In history, it was insane how fast Islam spread in it's first three hundred years.
They tried very hard to take Europe and held parts of Spain until as late as 1492.
Odd they bring up conquests and not all the early caliphates.
The only positive was then they absorbed knowledge not destroy it. So you saw books and manuscripts brought all over the world even copies of works thought lost with the fall of Rome. They advanced math and science. Yet spread religion by the sword.
While they made important historical contributions the push back of Islam saved Europe.

Love it.
"Yeah we're assholes, but hey, look at those bigger assholes over there!"

Or you could say, "dang there is more to the story than you commonly hear about." Twisting everything to come back to the same preconceived conclusions really is not all that impressive. A little humility goes a long way.

Or you could say,
Better yet, I could say neither because I have an unbiased understanding of history.

Clearly you don't if you demonize Christians for the Crusades
Posted on 5/22/17 at 8:37 pm to DisplacedBuckeye
Highly unlikely, considering your post history.

We should give the muslims reparations.
That should take care of it.
That should take care of it.

Well, it clearly surpasses your ability to read.

As far as I'm concerned, being upset about the Crusades makes as much sense as being upset about the Allied invasion of Germany

This
The Catholics were defending their home lands from Muslim invasion after invasion then eventually had enough.
