IF the votes of Illegal Aliens and ineligible voters are removed from the tally, Trump likely wins Popular Vote.

The purpose of the election is to win the Electoral College not the popular vote. This is akin to a football team having more Time of Possession or Total Yardage and claiming victory even though they had a lower score.

When did anyone ever say it wasn't? Pretty soon you'll see individual states change this. And once Cali and NY go so goes the rest of the nation

As biased, PC, and incorrect as the MSM is, I am for the free flow of information from all sources. I have confidence that a person of average intelligence can sort it out. We do not need "official" sources. Look how many MSM informed Democrats think the Crime Boss should be president because she did win the popular vote.

Majority of Dimocrats think the popular vote is relevant to U.S. Presidential elections or is even "a thing."

It will not happen because the States will not surrender that power to the federal government. Meaning, no change to the current method. It is not that hard to understand.

Clearly the average person can't sort it out. It's up to the educated, informed populace to shame the idiots that quote Occupy Democrats or Milo and start reading actual news sources.

Is there a reputable source for this widespread fraud? Even trump said himself he doesn't care if it was rigged now that he won.. It doesn't seem like he cares if the "system" is broke

Certainly, from the one Dem Ghetto recount we know that nearly 40& of the precincts had massive voter fraud.

I have no faith in the "educated and informed". For example, the person who wrote this sentence is a Prof from UC Berkeley:

quote:

The move from a structuralist account in which capital is understood to structure social relations in relatively homologous ways to a view of hegemony in which power relations are subject to repetition, convergence, and rearticulation brought the question of temporality into the thinking of structure, and marked a shift from a form of Althusserian theory that takes structural totalities as theoretical objects to one in which the insights into the contingent possibility of structure inaugurate a renewed conception of hegemony as bound up with the contingent sites and strategies of the rearticulation of power.

I think most know but I think it might be overdue time to overhaul the system. I think a system of proportionally awarding votes by state would be nice. Then award the 2 senator votes to whomever wins the overall state vote. It would obviously be hard to change the whole system but it might be done eventually

Go for it!

Go through the process to amend the Constitution. Run it up the flagpole and see how it goes.

And here is the reason why. They think illegals voted, even without a shred of evidence to prove it. Republicans no longer deal in facts.

I wouldn't say all Repubs. Just the alt-right which has sadly hijacked the party

The majority of dems don't know that the electoral college elects the president and not a popular vote.

Over 100% turnout is proof. You just insist on ignoring it. High Dem votes in states with no ID is proof. You just insist on ignoring it.

6% of illegal aliens voted in 2008 according to one well-regarded study. Fast forward to 2016, the President of the United States seemingly encouraged illegal immigrant participation. The 6% will likely be closer to 15% of illegals voting in this election. There we're over 20 million illegals in this country as of 2005 according to the Bear Sterns study. Some reasonable estimates now that place that number at over 30 million. 15% of 30 million is 4.5 million. 98% of which likely went for Clinton.

I hope Trump calls for a congressional select committee with maximum subpoena powers to conduct a top to bottom investigation of the 2016 election - got to find out how/what/when/who/why did all this 'hacking' and as an ancillary to look at all those precincts where the vote tallied surpassed the names of voters who voted.

I would hope for new regulations to be implemented that provided 'special procedures' for those precincts which have demonstrated they have 'historical' problems in conducting accountable election practices and subject them to the same punitive actions in future actions that the US has imposed on the south wrt to election matters.

For instance, in the urban areas there should be federal marshals who accompanied the ballot boxes and voter rolls everywhere they went - anyone who touched them would have to be personally observed by the marshals. Any discrepancy would void the entire precincts votes - just like nobody voted there.

If any significant illegal voting is indicated by the investigation, I want congress to impose extreme vetting for voter registration and purge all voter registration rolls - require that every voter go and re-register with strict examination of their ID and citizenship status. At least make this a requirement for all federal elections.

Let's get this election fraud under control.

Hmm this keeps being posted. I think both sides see that it's an outdated system. When farmer Rick's vote in Wyoming carries 10X the power per electoral vote than your average Joe Blow in California, there is an issue. EVEN IF CALIFORNIA IS IN A BUBBLE you can't just discount their vote.

There is a ton of evidence out there that there were illegal and legal immigrants that voted and of voting improprieties in heavily Dem areas such as Detroit where more people voted than were registered. The only question is how many.

I haven't heard any stories anywhere that have discussed how any voting improprieties may have helped Trump other than "Russian hackers exposed Clinton and DNC emails showing how corrupt they are" and some completely disproven claims of voting machine hacking that even Obama has come out and said have no validity.

As for the OP, generally the people of the US are not informed, what else is new? People know Trump won, the overall popular vote is irrelevant so why should they need to know about it? I'm guessing if you polled Dem voters 80% of them think Obama got more votes in the primaries than Hillary in 2008 but she didn't. Obama did win the nomination according to the rules though so what is the point?
