LSU Students accuse Mike the Tiger of being 'symbol of white oppression'

This idiocy has hit national news now. Are they messing with the wrong school and mascot, or are they going to get their way? My LSU grad dh says 'no way in hell.' I know it's been discussed recently, but it's now been taken to a new level. And will having the current BR administration make any difference?

Yes, indeed it is. My close friend is a white refugee from South Africa. The stories she has told me about living in fear as a white child and her father rounding up the family (even the youngest) and telling them what to do in case of an attack by black mobs are spine-chilling.

There's an easy solution. Just make sure LSU in its official media and press releases state that LSU is nicknamed the Tigers because Tigers are majestic, furious, apex predator, beautiful animals.
