That is absurd.
That's what was said prior to Trump's 2016 election win.
quote:
Trump will be extremely fortunate to be re-elected; and that will take help from the Democrats nominating a Klobuchar or Gillibrand or someone who can't be elected.
There's not a single announced Democrat candidate out there right now that can beat Trump in anything other than the minds of Democrat loyalists.
At this point Bernie has the best shot to win the Democratic nomination but I firmly expect him to be race-carded out by Booker and/or Kamala supporters. None of those three have the charisma or presence (and the following that comes from that) of Trump.

STATE does not reflect a trend for US Congress.
Propaganda chicken little!
Voter turnout, 14%, 25%, 17%
Looks like apathy to me dog!
Won't happen for federal seats.

You should be banned for such a disingenuous post.
Two Democrats ran against each other.
One Republican ran in a heavily Democrat District.
And an independent grocery store owner who looks pretty middle of the road beat the Republican logger.

If elected, Fabre would be the first Republican to ever serve in the legislature from the 18th district, which comprises all of Pointe Coupee parish - as well of parts of Iberville Parish and West Baton Rouge. The seat became open when former State Rep. Major Thibaut (D) was elected Pointe Coupee Parish President.

That turnout is embarrassing. I don’t care what’s going on, i vote

Don't understand how GOP lost 18th District to a Democrat, when the seat was vacated by a Democrat.

Louisiana is trending blue. Could be a sign of things to come in 2020

Having 19 different elections each year isn’t helping.
This shite needs to stop.
One day... ONE each year is all we need unless there’s a runoff which should be seven days after the election.

This is just false.
There has not been a single poll in which JBE gets above 50.1% to win outright in the first round with his most likely opponent being Abraham.
And the polls I've seen is JBE barely leading both republicans in the head to head matchups.

Hey a-hole, link me to one post where I express confidence in the LA GOP itself and give them the seal of approval.
Or would you just rather keep making more shite up about a legit conservative while you run out of state?
Oh and you're forgetting the very inconvenient fact that the LA GOP can only do so much when it comes to winning elections as that comes down to the candidates themselves and how strong and competent they are, not some organization of hacks pulling strings.

Matthew Dowd and Maureen Dowd aren’t related.

If neither GOP candidate drops out there will be no run-off as JBE will win due to the split GOP vote.

The only thing matters is if JBE cannot get above the floor for a Democrat in Louisiana which is anywhere from 40 to 45% to the necessary 50.1% to win outright.
Even back in 2015 with three republicans running against each other, JBE was still forced into a runoff after getting 41% of the vote.
The Louisiana Democrat will always get 40-45%, it’s just an issue of getting enough republican crossovers and moderate Democrats who usually vote republican.

Exactly, this is where the race is decided.
Moderate and conservative Dems and finicky Republicans decide these big races.

Edit, post was intended for Mr. LSU
"Louisiana GOP lost several State House races to Democrats last night"
So there were three elections held on March 30th of which the Republicans lost a single seat to a Democrat and a seat to an Independnt.
I'm confused as to how you came to your conclusion that the Republicans lost several house races to Democrats when in reality they lost only one.

I didn't even realize there was an election last Saturday. Looks like I only had to vote for 2 local property tax millage extensions anyway.

Until the " how can I profit " mentality of Louisiana politicians is stamped out, nothing will change. It's due to " what do I get for nothing " mentality of Louisiana voters.
