Topics covered:

Statues being removed and how racist white people are..
Racist white people gerrymandering to suppress black voters...
One other story about evil white people (can't remember specifically)...

No mention of the concert bombing. I really don't think our tax dollars should fund any organization that politically one-sided. I'm not a bunker republican or anything.. I'm actually middle of the road. I see the crazy on both sides, but tax dollars should not go to a media outlet which is essentially an arm of one political party. Just my $.05.

Enjoy your day.

Far lefties will deny it but any sane person can see that NPR is left leaning and that shouldn't happen.

I bet they would like to be even further left.

I do wonder how in the hell they train all their people that same inflection and tone. It's weird.

The Nashville affiliate had mostly coverage of the attack.

I listened to WNYC New York all morning and it was almost non-stop news of the attack as well as President Trump's visit to Isrea (and they weren't all negative about it either, just saying that it is easy to say nice platituted, tough to get these parties to agree).

So NPR did not do what you are suggesting where I am. And it was mostly Morning Edition, the national show.

Gerrymandering by race is only news when Rs do it.

I was stuck with this for years because of one of the most gerrymandered district in the country.

Here is the audio from the national show.

New York featured many updates from Manchester, Reginald Ellis and others.

That's funny because I was listening this morning as well and it was their lead story.

NPR is extremely adept at creating false realities, and they do it in such an "artsy" way. Love the sounds of train whistles and children playing in the background. Cute. How could that possibly be a pack of lies? It's called a Media Trojan Horse. Let the listener beware.

terrorists blow shite up to disrupt our daily lives. the more you talk about them and let them actually affect your daily life, the more they win.

some news outlets understand this moreso than others. what legitimate good is talking about that tragedy on the news going to do?

The best coverage I have ever seen about Milton Friedman has been on NPR and PBS.

Don't expect to see stuff like this on ABC News.

Maybe, just maybe, there is a role for at least some public sector broadcasting in the cluttered world of "Least Common Denomiator" television and radio?

I 100% agree.

It should be adamantly bipartisan though, and I mean, any partisanship should result in the removal of the party involved or the loss of funding.

I hold the same issue with all public entities and it is one of my base reasons for why I believe public employees shouldn't be allowed to vote.

Interesting how people who hate NPR somehow get a different version of Morning Edition on their station than the rest of the country.

See it is rhetoric like this that shows why we ca...

You agree with me?

I think it is quite reasonable that all public employees should be barred from voting. They should be forced to be as non-partisan as possible, and I say this as a public employee.

No voting
No political donations
No public political support of a candidate

Those guidelines should extend from the lowest public janitor in Podunk, LA, to the president.

LOL!.

No don't agree with you there since that would eliminate all cops, firemen and army soldiers from voting and many of those people - who are almost always much more conservative than I am politically - deserve a ten times vote if anything.

But I am sure there are tons of other stuff we agree on, the board just tends to highlight arguments.

I must've caught it during a perfect window, 20 mins and no mention. I believe you guys saying they covered it, I must've just missed it. But, I still stick to my argument NPR is too left leaning to be a govt funded media organization... even if it is only 10% of their funding.
