If you agreed with Romney when he said what he did about Russia, as I did, then you have to agree with Rubio's statement.

The problem is that these hysterics are based on assumptions from the intel community with no evidence, may be based on a political agenda in reaction to the election and putting the Trump administration in a box to score political points.

Obama is accusing a major world power of a huge crime with no evidence whatsoever or quite literally with fake news actually. And schmucks like Rubio are going along with it because its what their donors in the defense contractors want.

Trump is going to be reasonable but very firm on Russia. Not completely irresponsible and hysterical like GOPe types and Obama are being right now.

Rubio's foreign policy is a quintessential throwback to the days of Dubya and bringing freedom and democracy to the mideast post saddam. If you still believe in that, then you have no business being POTUS much less a United States Senator.

It's what kept me from jumping all in with him in the primaries even as Rand flamed out and Trump was going strong.

We should have been worried about Syria back before all the Syrians left.

An excellent explanation. You put this into words perfectly.

Exactly. I hope that the idiots in DC quickly determine that the political "business as usual" circle jerk ends in less than 30 days.

I could care less about Rubio's rumored gay porn parties. I could care less if someone is gay, purple, brown, black, orange. I am old-school tho and the gay porn could lead to blackmailing a US Senator. But nowadays I suppose that doesn't happen. They just pay off top lawyers to get their names out of DC Madames black book, or bookings to pedo isle for some...

It's like nobody actually read any of the PNAC stuff man. It's unbelievable really. wiki PNAC

quote:

PNAC's first public act was to release a "Statement of Principles" on June 3, 1997. The statement had 25 signers, including project members and outside supporters (see Signatories to Statement of Principles). It described the United States as the "world's pre-eminent power," and said that the nation faced a challenge to "shape a new century favorable to American principles and interests." In order to achieve this goal, the statement's signers called for significant increases in defense spending, and for the promotion of "political and economic freedom abroad." It said the United States should strengthen ties with its democratic allies, "challenge regimes hostile to our interests and values," and preserve and extend "an international order friendly to our security, our prosperity, and our principles." Calling for a "Reaganite" policy of "military strength and moral clarity," it concluded that PNAC's principles were necessary "if the United States is to build on the successes of this past century and to ensure our security and our greatness in the next."[5]

quote:

Some critics went further, asserting that Rebuilding America's Defenses should be viewed as a program for global American hegemony. Writing in Der Spiegel in 2003, Jochen Bölsche claimed that Rebuilding America's Defenses "had been developed by PNAC for Rumsfeld, Cheney, Wolfowitz and Libby," and was "devoted to matters of 'maintaining US pre-eminence, thwarting rival powers and shaping the global security system according to US interests.'"[42][49] British MP Michael Meacher made similar allegations in 2003, stating that Rebuilding America's Defences was "a blueprint for the creation of a global Pax Americana," which had been "drawn up for" key members of the Bush administration.[50] Academic Peter Dale Scott subsequently wrote

comprehensive list of those ASW PNAC

The "A clean break" document tied in very closely to the Rebuilding document and a close look at both of these will reveal the thought process behind these wars. It most certainly includes a heavy focus of Israel's needs, and the documents were written by notorious "Israel First" types, in tandem with Netanyahu, who want global hegemony to ensure Israel's prosperity.

quote:

A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm (commonly known as the "Clean Break" report) is a policy document that was prepared in 1996 by a study group led by Richard Perle for Benjamin Netanyahu, the then Prime Minister of Israel.[1] The report explained a new approach to solving Israel's security problems in the Middle East with an emphasis on "Western values." It has since been criticized for advocating an aggressive new policy including the removal of Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq and the containment of Syria by engaging in proxy warfare and highlighting its possession of "weapons of mass destruction". Certain parts of the polices set forth in the paper were rejected by Netanyahu.[2][3]

These people should be in prison.
