1. You only have freedoms until they infringe on the freedom of others.
I don't like this definition as every publicly exercised freedom, by definition, infringes on another's rights.
Freedom of speech vs. Freedom of Listening
In other words, in public, we would have no real freedom.
2. Animals cannot legally give consent and sexual relations could as animal abuse which is illegal.
Animals can't give consent legally because of the current legal definition of consent in many states, not all. When did we start applying human standards of legality to animals?
Why not apply that standard everywhere? They don't consent to being displaced from their homes, slaughtered, and eaten. Is that animal cruelty too?
3. Incest is illegal under state, not federal laws. As gross as it is, I have no problem with it being legal as long as the rules of consent are governed. However, the reason incest is often illegal in most states is that when incest does happen, it is NOT consensual the vast majority of the time.
So the reasoning for the state law's creation doesn't apply when there is consent yet the law still applies?
