Liberals on 9/11

My favorite 9/11 story:

Two Saudi students in the college student union right after the attack were celebrating America's catastrophe. But they only spoke Arabic to keep it unnoticed.
A Lebanese student understood them and confronted them saying 'You should be ashamed of yourselves.'
They reported his racist, aggressive behavior to the administration. The Lebanese student was dismissed from college.

It feels like a complete straw man because no liberal I've seen is arguing this.

I would describe myself as being towards the left/liberal and I absolutely have sympathy with those who died on 9/11. I'm not okay with the 'war crimes' either which is why I was against the war in Iraq as well. It was a Republican who made that choice regarding Iraq if I recall correctly.

So where exactly would your line in the sand be with Biden? Obviously it isn't the fact he voted in support of a BS war and occupation that led to numerous deaths. Obviously it wasn't his Crime bill that led to an overcrowded and out of control prison system full of minorities with very minor drug offenses. Obviously it wasn't the fact he was BFF with a proud Klan leader. Obviously it wasn't all of the absolutely racist shite he's said during his 50 years worth of significant office holding.


So what would be the line for you? What policies and positions could POSSIBLY cause you to overlook all of those things?

What a load of shite lmao.

More of this lie that conservatives have some sort of monopoly on patriotism. Pretending that half of your countrymen weren't just as heartbroken, shaken and generally effected by 9/11 is inherently unpatriotic and is in direct conflict with the lesson the event taught us.

I am a progressive who stayed up past 6am watching recordings of CNN's and Fox's day-of news coverage. Watching the events unfold as if it were live is my annual remembrance ritual.

I do not know a single left leaning person that thinks America "deserved it". Using such a tragic but unifying event to perpetuate a lie that promotes hating Americans is beyond sick. If anyone is hating America here, its you.
