John Podhoretz had a really good article on her unique position in American culture. The biggest question would be the Commandr n Chief question. Whether she would be tough enough to keep America safe? And no, an Oprah run is not out of the question. She has money, connections, name recognition and a loyal following.

Here is Podhoretz's article on Oprah if you want to check it out

Oprah touts op-ed urging her to run in 2020: 'Thanks for your VOTE of confidence!'

Talk show host Oprah Winfrey on Thursday tweeted out a column calling for her to run for president, stoking speculation that she's considering taking on President Trump in 2020.

"Thanks for your VOTE of confidence!" Winfrey wrote, linking to John Podhoretz's piece in the New York Post touting her as the "best hope" for Democrats in 2020.

Podhoretz wrote that Winfrey is the "mirror image" of Trump: a black, female liberal who made her $3 billion fortune herself "without controversy."

"She's America's generous aunt and he's America's crazy uncle," the op-ed reads.

The piece highlights Winfrey's already-existing political influence, citing a University of Maryland study that credits her as being responsible for 1 million votes for then-Sen. Barack Obama in 2008.

"I believe she's uniquely positioned, should she wish to commit herself, to seek the Democratic nomination for president," Podhoretz wrote.

A rich and popular TV personality that says stupid shite winning the Presidency on the backs of a cult that thinks she can do no wrong?

Not happening.

She would be the first black president and first woman president. I would rather it be Oprah than someone like Hillary Clinton.

Tell you what, that is the one thing I feared about trump being elected. Would it open Pandora’s box for the presidency just being a popularity contest for celebrities. Talk of Kanye, the rock and now oprah or even moochelle. I don’t really believe people would vote for these clowns (although Oprah shouldn’t be grouped with the other 3) but I don’t put anything past the left

I guess if that were the only 2 possibilities.

I'd love to see this.

From everything I've heard, she's just as much of, possibly more of, a bitch than Hillary behind the scenes.

I can only imagine what would happen if Trump digs at her in public

Be honest the Democrats start off at 45% of the vote off the bat. I don't think anyone knows how she would do but it wouldn't be a blowout. She would rack up close to 60% of the woman's vote and drive a lot new voters to the polls.

she did that 60 minutes thing; hearing both sides to APPEAR as if she is for the middle class-- and LEARN HOW TO try to steal the rustbelt. It won't work.

I’d rather oprah over Hillary or Michelle. WTF is Michelle’s qualifications to run a country? At least Hillary had a resume other than “wife of POTUS”

Michelle running would scare me most. The black vote would instantaneously jump back to 99%. So you basically starting off in a 13pt hole

But if she does that, then who would play Mother Abigail in my hypothetical reboot of The Stand?

Would Horizontally Challenged Oprah or Emaciated Oprah command more respect from Putin?
