I would say no for me personally, because mine (gmc truck) has been good to me, but I see more lemons than I use to. You can't overlook the fact at what unions have done to the big 3 though, and that trickle down to Detroit itself. I think that the overall quality of Detroit vehicles has gone down the past 15-20 years. I also think unions can be blamed for part of that. Let's bite that hand that feeds us.

Your Nissan as well as Toyotas aren't built by union employees. Meaning that if one of those guys frick up, they will be fired quicker than shite. The GM guys can say frick it, it's Friday and I don't feel like doing shite and I refuse to put this part on, and if you don't like it call my committeeman.
