Activists are no strangers to harnessing technology and social media to promote their cause, but organizers say a new generation of tools is helping them build larger movements and sustain their protests.

Organizers of high-profile events, including the demonstrations against the Dakota Access Pipeline and the record-setting Women's March on Inauguration weekend, are using a new platform from the nonprofit group The Action Network to improve communications with members and organize on the fly.

I hope they have the energy to sustain them for 8 years, the rest of us need the joy of watching them whining and acting out to keep us smiling.

Largest Protest in US history, Second biggest Crowd at the Mall (after Obama's inauguration) , etc.

Also seriously, you're bitching about using organizing tool sets? How do you think AFP and other groups ginned up the Tea Party protests?

That's riiigggghhhttt. And we know how to do it again should it be necessary.

But as of now it is fun watching the melt and the effect they are having on normal people.

Their organizing techniques are waking up our right thinking people.

Keep it up Soros.
