It was a spoken statement...

Might want to click that link and watch the video before you comment, bro.

LeBron said PART. Why do you keep extrapolating it to the WHOLE?

You're misrepresenting his use of the word "part". He didn't say part of America is racist. He said racism will always be part of America.

Here's his quote again:
quote:

"But it just goes to show that race will always be part of the world, part of America. Hate in America, especially for an African-American, is living every day. Even though it’s concealed most of the time, even though people hide their faces and will say things about you and when they see you, they’ll smile in your face, it’s alive every single day".

There may not be institutional racism but there are still hateful people. I mean that's all he really said but if you think it was more loaded than that then I guess we'll disagree.

Does he play better when he's mad? If so, someone in the Cavs organization did it, or me if his teammates paid off his security to do it, where they were in on why for the "greater good"

Golden State is a big favorite in the series FWIW

No racist - but factual. Does it hurt? She was and is essentially an accessory to murder and should be prosecuted.

quote:

The white woman who accused 14-year-old Emmett Till of harassing her — an accusation that led to his brutal 1955 lynching — has admitted to making up the claim.
Carolyn Bryant Donham's accusation was at the center of a lynching that propelled the civil rights movement forward, notably after Jet published a photo of Till's lifeless, unrecognizable body with his mother looking on.
Till, a black teenager from Chicago, was killed in 1955 while visiting family in Mississippi. He stopped at a country store and reportedly whistled at Donham, though it's not known if Till really flirted with or whistled at her.

But as usual, people like you and him only bring up one part of the equation. That's why I brought up the Chicago situation. That incident was horrific, but since it was black-on-white, both the media and people like you basically ignored it.

Can't just have it one way, dude. Understand?

So, he can read a teleprompter or prepared statement.

The comment was, "he didn't write that statement."

Sorry about your reading comprehension skills.

Yes and "a part" of something means that it is part of the whole.
quote:

A part means a piece of something, an amount that is a portion of a whole, a constituent.
But he also said it would always be "a part" of the WORLD.

This is true. We know that the same basis for bigotry are grounded in heuristics and natural psychological processes that are INHERENT and sometimes USEFUL. Just read Thinking, Fast and Slow by the Daniel Kahneman. There is a very rational and necessary basis for our brains to make such decisions, but they sometimes lead to negative beliefs.

Happy that Lebron has never made a penny from me.

I hate basketball, and have never ever once, seen a single second of him playing.

He didn't read from anything, although I guess he could have practiced it like a monologue.

Oh, I agree. The sharpton's and jackson's of the world are certainly in it for the wrong reasons and there are for sure race baiters. I just don't take Lebron's comments to be race-baiting in this instance.

I try to refrain from interacting with You, but I have to comment on this. Dude, you are totally misrepresenting what he said.

Are you really this dumb, or is your guilty white liberal agenda that important to you?

Wow, just wow, at the level of stupidity here.

What am I misrepresenting? He said "race" (presumably racism) will always be a part of America and a part of the world.

Do you disagree with that?
