I'm betting he ends up pleasing down to a few misdemeanors, at most. Hard to see the "contributing to the delinquency of a minor" charges sticking at all for an 18 year old.

It's not. Adoption or raising are both honorable choices there.
But if you make the decision to raise them and you get the results she got, that's certainly in the "trashy" zipcode.
