One of the premiere organizations funded by billionaires Charles and David Koch is vowing reelection cash for Republicans who help thwart the American Health Care Act.

Millions of dollars is on the line for lawmakers who buck President Donald Trump, House Speaker Paul Ryan and others who back the current Obamacare replacement bill.
Americans for Prosperity, which boasts 35 chapters across the nation and an army of grassroots activists, say the current legislation is too tepid for the level of policy reform needed.

“We want to make certain that lawmakers understand the policy consequences of voting for a law that keeps Obamacare intact,” Americans for Prosperity president Tim Phillips said, CNN reported Thursday. “We have a history of following up and holding politicians accountable, but we will also be there to support and thank the champions who stand strong and keep their promise.”

whether you agree with it or not this is just something I feel is the downfall of the US. Where special interests direct the thinking and voting of politicians.

It's a major problem for sure. Real campaign finance reform with teeth is the answer but Citizens United makes that impossible.

It's not a problem it all and we should all be proud the Kochs stepped up in response to the threat Trump made to work against those opposed to TrumpCare.

You would rather a sitting President have the power to punish political opponent and private citizens be prevented from helping to defend these people?

Welcome to Venezeula.

So we're going to blame this on the Koch bros instead of it being a shitty bill?

How can this board love Citizens United and want to drain the swamp at the same time. I never could understand that.

I am curious - if the Koch brothers want to spent that much capital to fight this, why in the hell don't they pay some folks big dollars to devise a plan that people can support? I'm beginning to think there is no such plan - and that's pretty sickening after all the years of fighting it.
