It carries a lot of weight of Ford picks an event from his calendar and says "This is when it happened."
If that happens, we have a actual detail instead of vague recollections. An actual detail can used to confirm or deny the event with actual witnesses.

She won't. Her ambiguity is the core of this strategy the Dems are using.
If she testifies, which is doubtful, she won't commit herself to a date or location because it would force her to answer specific questions. That's the last thing they want. This whole thing has to be vague in order to succeed in the court of public opinion.
