TBoy all kinds of wrong and only talking about who needs permission from whom etc. while avoiding the topic of this entire ordeal being a setup to hurt Trump. Read up on the Bay of Pigs and the CIA making JFK look like a fool. It’s what our government and its agencies do when they fear/dislike a President.

The riot needed to happen. It had to happen. It's why police were opening the doors. The riot as used as a distraction from the 2020 election questions. National guard would've stopped the riot before it really started. It would've rendered the assholes who incited it... useless.

You guys keep pressing this point. There should be a paper trail of this sort of request. Neither Pelosi or McConnell has to be consulted or the Sgt at Arms. Bowser would have as would the governor of Maryland who would have to supplement guard troops since the DC contingent would not have been adequate.
It could have been talked about, but if no formal request was made, then it is a brainfart. If a formal request was made and Bowser rejected, Trump could have simply federalized the guard and direct them to deploy.

There was never a "request" by either Bowser or Pelosi. Trump did offer and they refused it. The bold is where your post jumped the shark. Trump first of all cannot "federalize" the ng without permission of the Gov. of a state or mayor of DC permission. A president cannot deploy without a emergency declaration. Checks and balances for this situation were put into place for a reason.

Pelosi is irrelevant to this conversation. Trump did not need her to say yea or nay . Bowser is not however.It could be that everyone is looking in the wrong place. DC guard strength is max 2500 -3000 . So who makes up the remainder? Was there a request to the Governor of Maryland ?Because he would probably make up the rest.
