Some cases yes, some cases no. It's a good tool to use to understand where the country is at on any given issue at any given time, however.

Why do Dems fight so hard to defend this failed policy? It seems like a few of them would realize they could vote for the Rs bill and shift this albatross to the Rs. The second that bill passes, the media will be 24/7 covering the horrors of American healthcare caused by the Rs plan.

While I agree, I also think there are certain rights/moral issues that should not be decided by public whim.
